Have to say, Des Lynam is looking a bit rough these days.

Never had a problem with them building hotels on the land, just always objected to the fact that ACL seemed to think it was the responsibility of the club to do so before. If there is a market for it, I'm sure that Hotel chains will be falling over themselves to build hotels there.

It's virtually impossible to get rooms at the NEC sometimes as I said yesterday. Though can usually get them in Cov if Birmingham full, except in exceptionally rare cases when have to go as far afield as Leicester to find a room at short notice for a reasonable price.

Would be a bit daft taking out the loan if relying on a club that wasn't paying any rent or looking like it intended to do so to make it "less liable" to repay it then? Certainly a risk for the organisation making the loan. I think that it would have been factored in though.

They weren't paying rent at the time, nor looking likely to either at the time of the deal. Would expect that the loan was taken out on the basis of not having CCFC as a permanent tenant, or would at least hope so.
