    Mcfadzean

He gave a real leaders performance yesterday, and was MOTM for me. He won everything in the air and really led by example. He’s been a scapegoat as he’s given away a few needless penalties and silly errors, but he’s a very good centre back and his experience really benefits Rose and Hyam. He’s...

Surprised at some of the negative, pessimistic and down playing posts. We were the better team yesterday and should have won it at the end. It might have been an FA Cup game and maybe they weren’t playing their strongest side (I have no idea either way) but whatever side they put out, it’s...

Not sure if they were ‘legion’ or not, but definitely a lot of stone island, ‘we do what we want’ types around. My favourites were the few behind me, who had no idea who any of our players were, left to get a halt time beer 25 minutes into the game, tried to kick off with a steward who asked...

This might be more a Biamou game than a Godden one.

We started very nervously but have grown into it. We’re lacking a bite attacking wise at the minute. Westbrooke is anonymous and Shipley’s runs aren’t as effective. McFadzean having a real leaders performance at the back. Walsh is comfortable at this level, but others aren’t quite as assured...

Leaving your seat after 25 minutes to make sure you get a beer at half time - the sign of a true fan.

Agreed. Westbrooke is more disciplined which is probably why he’s ahead. I really like him, but O’Hare is the game changer.

Really?! Absolutely no signs of trouble anywhere I’ve been. Fans mingling really well. Hopefully it’s over cautiousness rather than anything else.

Definitely got a ‘big game’ feel to today. Train is way busier than usual. Promised the partner I’d be getting my usual train home straight after the game. Slightly worried I might end up breaking that promise. I still think the league is way more important, but going to fully embrace and...

Getting increasingly excited for the game tomorrow. In the grand scene of things it means way less than Tuesday night, but it has the potential to be a fantastic day. While I wish we got similar crowds each week, and every game was as much as a spectacle, unfortunately that’s not the reality...

    Declan Drysdale

Looks good when I’ve seen him, just worried about a lack of pace. Hopefully it was more of lack of match sharpness/experience of men’s football. Although if pace is an issue, it can be mitigated somewhat with experience, which is exactly why loans like this are good.

    Where are you drinking Saturday?

I agree there’s loads of good ale bars in the centre, but we’re meeting in DigBrew at 12:30 so needs to be that way. I’ll keep looking, it’s just a shame our usual ones don’t open until 12!

    Where are you drinking Saturday?

We’re getting in at 11 - a lot earlier than usual. However all of my usual haunts from various Digbeth ale trail don’t open until 12. Any recommendations for places open at 11, welcoming to Cov fans and serve good beers? We’re due in DigBrew around 12:30, so needs to be that way. The Kerryman...

Really enjoyed it. I thought the first episode was quite weak and looked low budget, but it picked up significantly after that.

    BBC article about Saturday's game

Amongst the many things wrong with that article, one of the biggest things; how can the Chair of the Supporters Trust not actually support the team? Zero credibility right off the bat.

    Where are you drinking Saturday?

They are indeed, but I recommend getting there earlier than you usually would before a league game, as it’s really popular with Blues fans.

    First timers at St Andrews

Please don’t - dreading it already. It’s obviously great to have new fans there etc etc, but I’m really not looking forward to a load of idiots stuck in a time wrap who don’t understand our style of play and think everyone is shit, when actually it’s their first time seeing them play.

    Mark Robins

Just reading snippets of this thread really does make you question why some people actually support City, never mind go onto a forum to discuss them. So much unneeded negativity and pessimism at a time when we are in our best on field position (and everything auxiliary to that e.g. the...

Not too we should even bother turning up, they’re a Championship team and we’re L1. I don’t think anyone doubts the general difference in class between the two divisions, however we’re on form, have the best squad we’ve had in years and playing fantastic football. Conversely they are being...
