Have to disagree unfortunately, he wasn’t just within himself, I thought he was poor on the ball. I agree he was solid defensively though. And that isn’t because I’m now viewing him through a different lense now he’s signed for Norwich (I’m not suggesting you’d say that, but I’ve seen it posted...

You really can’t help being pessimistic can you? Other than your own opinion what is this based on?

    Can you expand on that?

Seems quite a fall from grace. Is there something more to it?

    Sam McCallum

He has been off the boil the last few games. I don’t think it’s due to a lack of commitment or his head being elsewhere, it’s more the fact he’s young, inexperienced and playing his first full season in L1; he’s bound to be inconsistent. Plus I wouldn’t have classed him as a game changer pre...

Incredible! Hopefully someone can find the clip.....!

They didn’t play good football or look a good team, but based on their league position and form (until tonight!) they are obviously effective. Yet we dealt with it. It was a scrappy game and we didn’t dominate as we can, but we looked the better team overall and deserved the win. I was...

Really strong start to the second half. We are by far the best team in this league. I’m confident the goal will come. I’d still like to see Giles for McCallum and potentially Biamou to go two up front. Their defence looks ponderous and poor.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Giles for McCallum too, but might be too offensive a LWB for a tight game like this.

Portsmouth haven’t looked threatening, they seem a long ball/direct team and hoping for a set piece goal. We haven’t clicked completely get, but there’s been glimpses and when we have we’ve looked good. If we have a few more spells of possession I full expect a goal. Baka has been our standout...

Anyone critical of Bakayoko’s performance thus far are clearly incapable of being objective. Plus, they’re numerous players playing worse and/or anonymous. So for him to be picked out is nothing but bias and blinkered vision.

Too tight and angle and the defender was blocking any chance of a shot. He did the right thing, the issue was that nobody was supporting him ready for the lay off.

Underwhelming start from us so far. Partly as they started with intent and pressure. Although as I type we’ve picked it up slightly. We just need to get the ball now and play, despite the poor pitch. They are all guilty of sloppy passing, with McCallum and O’Hare the biggest offenders so...

Mirroring iFollow to the tv via Apple TV - working well so far and commentary just kicked in too. Can’t say all the family are too impressed! Nowhere near the same as being there and I’m jealous watching on TV, but it’s great this option exists for occasions like this! Plus it still gives money...

I think we’re giving Portsmouth too much respect. They are on a great run, but so are we. While we lost on penalties we completely outplayed a Championship team, twice. The fans know when we play our way we are the best team in the league - I’m sure MR and the player know that too. And...

I completely understand that football fans will feel frustrated when things are not going well. This season more than ever as we have one of the strongest squads in the league and should be challenging. I posted post BCFC that fans should be allowed to vent when others were questioning the (in...

Goodness me, some incredibly embarrassing posts on this thread. I genuinely don’t understand why some people support us. This season has shown it more than any other, as we’re doing well and people are still looking for ways to moan. Yes, we were poor today, but we won. We’ve also played...

Well done Baka! Interesting descriptions of the goal - still a few reluctant to give credit. Dabo is a real class act. If he was slightly younger he’d definitely have had more interest in Jan.

Agreed - it has to be the most technical midfield in L1 by some way. If Bakayoko plays anywhere near the levels of Tuesday and shows the same link play and movement, I’m confident we’ll score a few.
