That’s cool, you don’t have to! I don’t get why you wouldn’t give a new person at least a small proportion of the time / patience we gave the last manager. I assumed we’d all learned by now that often people need time to settle into their roles?!

I didn’t want Robins out and I’m willing to give the manager lowered expectations initially 🤷‍♂️ It’s just being pragmatic. The situation has changed so I’m changing with it.

Personally think he’d already just started to turn it around. But I get your point, no one really knows.

Of course, but new guy is going to have to have a seriously impressive start then, otherwise there will be lots of wet bedsheets on here and I honestly don’t think we should be expecting that.

Did you even read his post? It would take a very good run of form to get us to that stage and getting a new manager in and likely new systems / new players could disrupt things slightly. Also, it may have the opposite effect. No guarantees. I’ll be giving the new guy a bit of time; that level...

Given it’s a new manager who will likely implement a few new things and new players, I would give them some time for this to work. Top half this season, playoffs next as a minimum would be my level of expectation.

New manager would have to do quite the horrendous job for that to happen. Which is possible of course. I just think we could get Mark Hughes in and the quality of our forwards would just about keep us up.

This part is one of my fears going forward. Being the next Watford etc. Having a long serving manager and a relatively patient fan base was something that set us apart from the rest.

Questions can be asked about how deeply he’s looked at the stats then. I actually think he has just considered results tbh.

That’s very honest. Time will tell if it is the right or wrong call. Heart says wrong and I was against it, but I’ll back any new manager (apart from Joey Barton or Troy Deeney).
