Attendances ours don't look that bad.

It's not a perfect guide, but it's a better guide. We also have similar gates (historically) to all those clubs, despite the fact I'd argue that their wider catchment areas are much bigger.

I see what you're trying to do there, not falling for it ;)

Sorry, it's crap. Our crowds now are at the lowest point since the second world war. They are not typical. Go back just a few seasons we were averaging 21,000 as a mid-table championship side - just run of the mill games with no Wembley ticket on offer or big team opposition on show. Crowds...

Pointless. City populations are meaningless if you don't take into account the size of the conurbation. You can argue all like that, say, Coventry is bigger than Nottingham - but it's bollocks. Nottingham is twice the size of Coventry in population terms. Urban area is a much better guide...

I think he is. This is the same Grendel who was last week deriding the part timers for turning up because tickets were cheap.

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

Bradford have 8500 season ticket holders, we have 4000 (for obvious reasons), so very much doubt we will overtake them this season - unless we get into the top 6 and stay there until the end, then we might see some big gates.

    Yeovil Attendance

Fair enough. Just find all these people trying to argue that prices don't affect attendances tiresome - most of whom were moaning last week that people were only queuing in their thousands because of cheap tickets. None of us are saying it makes a massive difference, but for some it does. We...

    Yeovil Attendance

No they are not. The charge £18 on the kop. We charge £22 for equivalent seats. To pay £18 at the Ricoh, you have to have an under 16 with you. Not everyone has kids, do they?

It is disappointing Otis, but some people are getting hysterical about it. I know many who went on Friday who are not going Saturday - but they are going to the Preston game. Some just can't do every game. Our attendances at the moment (and it really does look like no more than 10K on...

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

Attendances fluctuate, always have always will. We averaged 34,000 before, hit 20K regularly and very occasionally it has dipped below 11000 - like now. So in other words, our levels of support at the moment are not 'normal', they are historically very low. They will improve again in time...

up there in the top 10 worst forum posts of all time. Given what the people of this city have done to rescue this football club over the past 18 months (recognised throughout the game), to then suggest we 'don't derserve a football club' because we're set for a home gate of about 11,000 in the...

Really, what? Other than that we have a big fan base which is still largely disenfranchised.

    ticket prices

Yep. But then the thing I find strange, is that for most of last season people were talking about having lost interest, that they had found other things to do on a Saturday etc. We are back, but one game in people are assuming that everyone is going to forget all that and slip straight back...

    ticket prices

No it doesn't, and you are not listening. People are simply saying that prices should be in line with the rest of the division. The other clubs with big grounds in this division - Bradford, Sheff Utd and MK Dons, all charge less, and both Sheff United and MK Dons have a number of designated...

    Yeovil Attendance

Well, the predicted gate for Saturday is now only 9000 based on current sales. If you are happy with that then fine, but personally I think the club have missed a trick here. £22-£27 (you can't count JSB, because not everyone has kids, and £22 increases to £24 on the day obviously), may be...

    Nuneaton Town

Went to watch them once. Their fans starting singing anti-CCFC songs. Never went back. Also spoke to a City fan who went to watch them last season wearing a CCFC polo shirt (or something), got a load of abuse and was told to fuck off and go and watch his own club. I work in Nuneaton and...

    Yeovil Attendance

Yep, exactly that. The difference between our ST and match day prices is huge. So people should buy STs then? Well, quite, but let's not forget, we haven't had a whole summer of ST sales, there is no installment plan in place - so it is understandable that this might be beyond the reach of...

    Yeovil Attendance

I see your point. Ultimately, the club survives on ticket revenues. However, I also think that there is value to be added by trying to maximise gates (not least that it might actually help the team - and that ultimately builds revenues), so you have to strike a balance. The club need to get...

    Yeovil Attendance

If you look at the two clubs with the best home gates (Sheff United and Bradford), they are both cheaper. It's about balance. If you put prices up to £50, you'd probably still get 5000 paying that, which would probably generate a bigger return. But we don't want that, because we all know...
