We should have won that based on the second half. Agree that we just need a bit more confidence in ourselves. Wright very good, probably the best I’ve seen him play. Thomas and Kitching looking a very solid pairing and O’Hare showing us why we’ve missed him again. Sheaf and Allen below their...

Really enjoyed watching the opposition endlessly pass the ball around while we give them as much space as we possibly can. It’s really what you pay the money for. Reckon we probably strung together less than 50 passes in the last 25 minutes of that half. God, I miss Viktor Gyokeres.

What was going on with the two completely empty blocks in the prawn sandwich stand tonight? Very odd

Really don’t get the high ratings for Simms. Struggle to think of anything impactful from him bar the run at the end. Think tonight showed why Robins has been sticking with Godden. I guess we have to just stick with him given how much we payed for him but really not convinced at all.

Haven’t heard a player’s song sung like that on the walk out from the ground like that before. Hope O’Hare realises how much the fans are behind him.

Fairly decent half, O’Hare, van Ewijk and Sakamoto the stand outs. Sheaf doing his job defensively but has been dreadful with the ball. The strikers still both looking very, very unconvincing. Simms may have the worst first touch I’ve ever seen from a pro footballer and Wright’s footballing...

Hopefully the game itself won’t be as dull as the last few home games but I’m not holding my breath

    Joey barton

People need to stop giving his posts oxygen. Pretty clear he knows his career in football is over and is trying to pivot onto the right wing grift as way of keeping the bank balance up.

If I was in charge at Sunderland I’d be holding off until Steve Cooper is inevitably sacked this week.

    Hamer back?

They spent £15m on him, there is no chance he leaves anytime soon unless another Premier League clubs offers silly money for him which certainly won’t be happening based on his current performances.
