A lot of this is knee jerk people like Karren Brady mouthing off tripe. got to wait until April 3rd three weeks away yet and see. Government due to announce further measures soon and further meetings by UEFA, Premier league and EFL next week. Mean while lets sit back and enjoy being top of the...

    22 Premier League next season

The chairman of Rotherham has just been on Sky and said he expects the leagues to follow what the Premiership decide to do and there’s no way they will deny Liverpool their title.

    22 Premier League next season

I have a feeling they will go down the no relegation route. EFL has said there will be further announcements Wednesday. I suspect things could be in the pipeline.

    22 Premier League next season

That won’t happen it would mean the Championship operating two teams short. From our point of view the biggest thing in our favour is Liverpool, should footie be unable to continue after April 3rd whatever decision is taken regarding how the winners of the Premiership is decided that would...

    75% rule

I know from my experience in local football in years gone by there is a cut of percentage point as to when results are expunged or not don’t know if it’s 75%, I’ve known it used, but that was towards individual teams not whole leagues, it could come down to member clubs voting exactly which...

    22 Premier League next season

Having no relegation throughout means nobody gets unfairly penalised and end up worse off. Promotions can still happen and positions covered by points per ratio of games not ideal but I can’t see any other fair way. The only difference it would make is the EFL would increase from 72 to 74 clubs.

    22 Premier League next season

Could work, if relegation from all leagues are scrapped but promotion allowed it might be the fairer way to go. I know it would benefit us but we are were we are, top. It might mean having extra teams in each division for a season but that can be compensated by having no League cup or EFL cup...

    75% rule

I think the position is covered in the FA rule book, I just wonder if it’s a coincidence all the clubs in the Prem and EFL have played 75% of their fixtures.

    75% rule

Don’t think the Bury situation will come into it, this year our division is a 44 game competition all clubs have played atleast 75% of their fixtures except Sunderland who have played 36 about 80% and that puts them right behind the black ball should league places go to points per games ratio...

    75% rule

That has been the case in the amateur game for years didn’t know it was 75% but knew there was a rule. I have known it used in the local leagues a few times when clubs have packed up or thrown out for discipline reasons

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

This might spook Boris into a lock down position, it’s becoming inevitable and there are signs in some countries that have done this lock down had helped. As for football the EFL need to come public and say what their plans and ideas are for the rest of the season. If players self isolate...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

In times gone by we have had whole weeks lost to bad weather these games are rearranged for later, the finance problem would kick in if games went to behind closed doors so I can understand the reluctance to go that way. It just needs a common sense plan to how to proceed should we call games...

    Solutions to complete the Season

I’m sorry how are footballers different to doctors and nurses for example self isolating is apparently for seven or fourteen days. Squads are over twenty strong, keeping players away from others is surely easy compared to NHS staff.

    Solutions to complete the Season

It’s no good our EFL coming up with cancelling games for now without a solution to how they intend to re-start and finish off the season, it will have to be three games a week and probably an extension into May.

    Solutions to complete the Season

Heaven knows what decisions the football authorities will come to it’s an organisation led by donkeys. To me the bottom line unfortunately is to play behind closed doors, get the games out the way, not rocket science.

    Solutions to complete the Season

If the right thing is done and they move the E No but they are working in close proximity to others for upto 8 hours a day. They could well be sweating unless track speeds are slowed down, that won’t happen.

    Solutions to complete the Season

I don’t get this, if as an example a track worker at the Jag gets the symptoms and virus they won’t shut the track down, the infected worker goes on the box some who work near him might self isolate and his spot and theirs on the track will be covered by re-deploying others, same with shop...
