    Tottenham manager

They probably wanted a quick trophy to help pay off some stadium bills, but even that makes no sense as Pochettino had them in the CL every year

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Both sides are just the same, we see it from the left and the right all the time, every day, then people start throwing around the term "virtue signalling" around when its the side you don't like. Nobody gives a toss about right & wrong any more, only "whose side is he on"

Hang on, so a guy gets accosted in a park, the bloke that did it gets caught out and sacked as he filmed it, and people see that as indoctrination? Sounds like consequences were dealt out and that’s it- why the rush to brush aside what he did? If it wasn’t that bad he wouldn’t have lost his job

So you’re saying that England playing at home in front of their own fans in their first final with all the hype from the media etc- but there would be more pressure on Belgium? Crazy talk 🤪

You cannot be serious- underdogs at Wembley? Thw entire world would be wanting to see if England can finally win something, there would be hype unlike anything we’ve ever seen

Surely thats driven by the bookies going on where the money is going as opposed to expert opinions? If we're going on ability, form, experience etc then I'd have us as 3rd favourites behind Belgium & Italy. Belgium look the best bet from that lot

Spain are very unpredictable, they will probably end up winning their next match 6-4 or something daft. I think we beat them, our setup is ideal for a team that plays the way they do. Belgium though... they scare me a bit

    European championships 2020 thread

I know, but it needs to be our mindset from now on- every tournament. If we beat Ukraine then Southgate has got to the semis of every tournament he's been in, there isn't an England manager ever that can say that.. apart from Venables but he was only in one

    European championships 2020 thread

Its the first England team I remember where we have a set plan and way of playing every match, before now it was all apparently trying to be "free flowing" and the "English way"- but what did that mean? Fair enough Hodgson was 'pragmatic' as well but he had much more limited players imho. Before...

    European championships 2020 thread

Oh definitely. Not getting to the final is now a significant failure. Not as in "Southgate out" failure, but a major letdown. I'm even reflecting that Germany weren't actually all that yesterday, I think the emotion and hype overtook everyone. We are a better team than Germany, and whats more...

Its not really as much to do with their ability for me, I just feel like they always beat us, but having said that I totally forgot we beat them last time out... What would be perfect is if we got to the final and Switzerland somehow manage to march onto the final... or would that be...

Here we go.. The last team to beat us in a competitive match at Wembley was.... Denmark o_O Total at new Wembley: Played 77 Won 56 (including Belgium which I totally forgot) Drawn 12 Lost 9 (Croatia, Spain, Denmark, Holland twice, Germany twice, Chile, France In competitive games only...
