EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

Agree, and I suspect the scenarios are in place but in order first being playing the remaining games June and July. The various meetings that’s going to happen, P Another keyboard Nazi

    Difficulty with EPL restart

But if they don’t re-start in let’s say June, when do they ? This virus will be kicking around for ages, gatherings be it sporting occasions, rock and pop concerts, weddings, theatres and cinemas won’t be happening for months. All eyes will be on the German league who kick off again I think this...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

The EFL is what is known as a competition as is any other league the ruling body is the FA so decisions the EFL come up with would be ratified by the FA and any appeals would go to the FA. We are in strange times but with regards to promotion and relegation I can’t see there will be different...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

If it is decided not to finish leagues one and two, I assume it’s as much to do with behind closed doors as anything else but next season is likely to be BCD as far as into 2021 so if they don’t do points per game ratio then when it is deemed safe to re-start then this current season re-starts...

Revenue idea if only BCD for the foreseeable future

You are correct on what you say about the flu epidemic but that was a 100 years ago, I actually think the first thing science will come up with is a remedy of some kind not a cure there will never be one of those as there isn’t for influenza there’s all sorts of talk about one on the horizon we...

Revenue idea if only BCD for the foreseeable future

A month ago on radio an Yankee “expert” talking sports and concerts said he didn’t believe spectator sport at stadia will happen until the Fall (Autumn) 2021 I though bullshit at the time but am now beginning to think he might have a point.

    James McPake Interview

Bloody hell if Coleman was his best manager he’s had a crap career poor bugger.

    James McPake Interview

Thought McPake was decent and with better players around him could have been a lot better imo, unfortunately he had Chris Coleman as his boss, ‘nuff said plus he spent too much time on the treatment table.

Revenue idea if only BCD for the foreseeable future

Would be win win for us I reckon, imo we’d be raking it in. We can sell 2000+ tickets for most away games which we get jack shit from at the moment. Reckon £10 minimum per telly would be more than reasonable.

    Greatest Escape

I’ve got a good story about that day v Leeds, my late father always left before the final whistle so had my car key which was parked in Coronation Road got in the passenger seat waiting for me fiddling with the radio trying unsuccessfully to tune it in when four Leeds fans turned up one a bit...

Revenue idea if only BCD for the foreseeable future

I think £20 per household would be popular to be honest, depends who gets the money, is it shared or do each team get their own supporters money. I’m certain we would have twenty thousand+ households tuning in per match home and away.

    5% chance of L1 & 2 completing

Just been said on radio 5 Germany have re-started training in the last couple of weeks three Cologne players have gone down with Coronavirus, not serious apparently but bound to have an influence any decision the Bungasliga make.

    5% chance of L1 & 2 completing

If that happened as you say I’m certain this season would just continue on the date set, get completed a couple of weeks grace and then new season would commence probably some time in October.

    St Andrews/ The Ricoh

Should Wasps go bust as you say doesn’t mean we or should I say sisu will end up owning the Ricoh I reckon that would be flogged off to a third party long before the rugby club was affected. As for playing behind closed doors I imagine that could bring a few venue options in the nearby Coventry...

    87 cup final thread

Agree 100% I don’t think Regis and Houchen played together again after the Final, chalk and cheese as players but their partnership worked. A new top class left back was all we needed at the time, remember two of our best players Borrows and Emerson didn’t play and Phillips a midfield regular...

    Point per game table

Fuckin’ hell I assume you are isolated at home ! If they go ppg it sure won’t be complicated simply as it says points per game average won’t matter if teams have played more at home than away. In our division it puts Wycombe third lucky for them if they decide to promote third place but in...

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

It’s points per games played that’s why Wycombe for example would shoot up from eighth to third.

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

Don’t think so it would be how you have done in matches played, take us if I’ve got the maths right we have dropped 12 points against the bottom eight teams, two of our three defeats came from that group.

Feeling resigned...but not down and out!

Not so sure about that, isn’t the Ricoh being used as a testing centre so I’d think they will have some sort of revenue from that.

    Bristol City Captain

I have my doubts Euros will happen unless there’s a significant improvement in vaccines and treatments, without that I just can’t see vast movement of spectators from all over Europe happening or even allowed.
