Teflon AT - a great position for him

I'm back from my funeral to join the wake that is CCFC. Great post Grendel, exactly how I feel about AT. it is unhealthy for fans too feel sorry for the manager when we have an under performing team. We lose to Yeovil - "poor andy SISU have left him nothing to work with". Just ask yourself...

Teflon AT - a great position for him

I've enjoyed this debate and must go now but as much as AT has had poor circumstances to deal with he is not beyond criticism nor the sack. We are starting a new era and I don't believe he is the right man.

Teflon AT - a great position for him

So is AT a good manager ? - I think the majority would say either yes if he had the players or don't know. So AT is on a poor contract, with a club in crisis then surely he will be headhunted to a club which his management skills deserve or those in the not sure camp - then they surely would...

Teflon AT - a great position for him

I think AT is a slow learner, the style of football took too long to change last year. I don't think there will be many new faces to excite the fans and maybe Carsley could reignite the club / fans / players - AT nice guy, dealt a poor hand etc.. just lacks inspiration and doesn't seem to be...

Teflon AT - a great position for him

I think you confuse me with the dark knight. Teflon AT - how bad will results allowed to be before he is relieved of his duties, Liverpool got rid of virtually untouchable Dalglish who had a similar reign to AT. Recognise its not all his fault but also he may not be a very good manager.

Teflon AT - a great position for him

AT did show in the last few months of 2010/11 that he may have the credentials to be a good manager as he turned around a poorly performing team. Whilst I will give him credit for this I do believe a lot of it was due to the relief from the players at moving away from hoofball played under AB...

    Thorn Starting to get impatient?

I worry that if this persists that AT may start comfort eating and lose his hair.

    intrim ticket prices

clever marketing gives the impression that the accounts will be filed and the umbongo lifted so may encourage more to take advantage of the early bird by tomorrow. Last summer there was no transfer embargo but they still screwed the fans with their lack of activity in the transfer market -...

    Losing £500k pcm???

These losses must be the financial costs of the interest on the cash invested in the business. Judging by our squad we can't be losing that amount on operational costs such as players wages.

The situation at the club - Account Holdings

That last graph is the biggest load of honky bull$hit that I have ever seen- as an accountant by trade I know that accounts can be manipulated so since SISU tookover our crowds have dropped but never would that lead to a halving of turnover, NB the 2008/09 season included the 1/4 final against...

Does anyone know if were having a new kit this season?

2011/12 best kit for years but the poorest season for 50. FA cup winning kit awful, is there a trend bad kit = good season

    Strikers

As I've said before haven't seen enough of Jeffers to properly judge but equally how can those who are supporting him believe that he can be relied on to score the goals, he is older than Nuddy, Livingstone, Keane - strikers who made their debuts as teenagers. A spell in the lower leagues he...

    Strikers

sheff's injury record is still a huge concern but at this level I think he can do a good job behind the main striker. The only problem with playing sheff there is leaves a vacancy out wide where super David bell might have to play. Bell more games than Jeffers but probably even less impact.

    Strikers

The assumption is that Jeffers will do ok based on what ?. Most academy players don't make it we have had a lot of our players thrust into the first team far too early and done ok. But to talk Jeffers as being our forward for next year and being able to deliver is just fantasy. The level he...

    Sammy Clingan

Sideways Sammy had 3 seasons with us, last season was awful first 2 seasons not too bad but seemed to play the percentage game with lots of safe passes 5 yards or so rarely showed initiative with the ball and often slowed the game down useless at supporting the forwards or allowing counter...

The academy has a poor record recently od producing good strikers Donovan Simmonds Ashley Cain the last decent one being Craig Reid

    Strikers

I've hardly seen Jeffers pay but against Saints he looked like a little boy playing in a man's game but fear not he has had made a big impact when playing in the lower leagues Years Team Apps† (Gls)† 2008– Coventry City 6 (0) 2010–2011 → Cheltenham Town (loan) 22 (1) 2011 → Cambridge United...

RUMOUR: Bigi has left the building

Based on what I have seen of Bigi he is a raw talent, too early too judge whether this is a good deal for the club, Bigi 2 years older playing in a decent team we may be able to determine his true quality. however not sure whether to us fans it matters if the deal is £500,000 or £1,000,000...

Surely the minimun token gesture from the club

I initially stated that I would not be getting a season ticket but slightly changed my mind following the spin coming out of SISU post relegation, Joy was on the scene, "we will learn from our mistakes" etc.. - over a month on - there has been nothing to convince me to change my mind. A week...

Platt on why he left and next season

I think the possession football we played ensured that we were only beaten by 3 or more times in 3 games Ipswich Millwall & Saints, we were rarely outplayed at home just never had the ability to put teams under pressure and turn draws into victories in the first half of the season. I do think...
