But by the time he has moved forward the ball is almost past him. Most keepers who move forward move early RCC almost stays on his line till the kick is taken so has no time to move forward and then to the side.

Agree with that, but by moving so far forward he is reducing his chance of saving them. If you watch most keepers, they move a split second early and dive to one side or the other, even then they don't often get to the ball early enough to make the save, with what RCC does he really is not...
