Hamer indiscipline - classic and frustrating as always. Roberts looks very good. Lost a bit of initiative but looking confident on the ball when we have it.

I think McFadzean passed on the collective thoughts of SBT to Wilson after that error.

Hyam with a few good pieces of defensive work already. Hopefully early signs of a return to form. Max and Hyam playing well, it’ll be a good night on here tonight.

Good start. They are definitely there for the taking; especially now we are one up anything other than a win would be a disappointing result. We look confident thus far.

    Recommend a beer

New one on me (which is always quite exciting). They look like quite a traditional brewer, so should be quite safe. Make sure you report back!

Which ones were they? Other fruit flavoured stouts/porters?

Unfortunately there’s no escaping how big a game this is. We really need MR/AV to get their tactics, both pre match and in game correct. Even the most staunch MR fan would admit his use (or lack of) substitutions and in game management is a weakness. It seemed to be improving, but Tuesday we...

    Recommend a beer

Just opened a really nice NEIPA - Jamestown by Thornbridge. Really juicy and citrusy aftertaste, and really fresh and light tasting despite being a 5.8. Highly recommended. Even my non-beer drinking partner has a sip and was impressed. On the other side of the scale, started with a cask ale -...

    Tyler Walker

Walker has shown he has potential as we’ve seen glimpses of his ability; his movement is good and his finish against Brentford (as a recent example) was very good. Couple that with his impressive goal scoring record and we definitely have a good striker on our hands. However, he disappears and...

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

Quite a leap from what I said to be honest.

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

Absolutely the right thing and fantastic news to be back playing in Coventry. Also absolutely understandable the pre/post match stuff will be missed by those who incorporated it into their match day routine. I have a decent pre Ricoh routine (nice pub for ale/lunch then a nice walk to the...

    Running

Wasn’t sure how far that would be, didn’t think Nuneaton/Bedworth were too distance. Shame as they are good routes - worth a go post lockdown!

    Running

Nuneaton too far? I know of two that way that are really tough; Leathermill Lane/Grange Road and a country Lane (no name) from the canal through the side of Windmill Hill Nature Reserve to Mancetter Road. Whenever I run those I incorporate them into a canal tow path run so they end up being a...

Don’t know what to say about that goal, it was slow motion. So frustrating, a loss isn’t deserved.

I hope we don’t come out and revert to defensive mode, keep the confidence and push forward. We’ve looked good when we’ve put them under pressure.

Silly, needless goal again. Poor defending and poor goalkeeping.

Definitely agree re fatigue, but think ill discipline is a separate issue regardless.

Believe it or not, Grendel is right. His misplaces more passes than he makes and I worry everytime he goes into contact. He’s still a class above when on form though; his vision and creativity are needed, which is why we accept the other elements.
