You could have argued the same about Robins appointment at the time. Frank Lampards tenures in football have so far been quite mixed, so no one knows how it’s going to play out. He will be learning on the job as well. He might be shit. But it’s definitely too early to say. I *obviously* hope...

I was pissed off yesterday and felt my posts about the game / some of the players were a bit of an overreaction and I don’t want to read them back because of it. But then today, I see other posters absolutely dejected / out of their minds and I feel reasonable again!

Wouldn’t be advocating a low carb diet (or any kind of fad diet). Appreciate everyone is different. I assume you more mean processed carbs like pasta / bread etc. Trying to limit processed food is the big one. If you’re going to eat pasta and bread go for wholewheat and do it before big exercise...

I’m not blaming him at all. I think he should have started the game tbh. He lacks the desire to press / defend from the front when that’s what we needed at that point in the game. I’m unsure that we needed two pressing forwards to start the game with; said as much in the match thread!

First 10 mins we were quite poor, after we scored we looked comfortable until half time. After half time we got outplayed. Defended well for a little while. Then it was all quite last ditch. Had a couple of chances on the counter and did nothing with them. Allen was good, but leaving him out...

I’m not entirely convinced either, but if it starts as a loan and we’re not paying his full wage I guess we could do a lot worse.

Realistically though, concede two goals away from home and you’re going to lose an away game most of the time. I do agree the quality of the forward line yesterday was an issue as well though.

Second half yesterday we looked like Oxford did against us at home earlier this season. Really poor ball retention and Norwich looked a cut above. Can’t fathom what the score would have been had Collins been in goal!

I get that it can be. But when you’re 1-0 up with only 20 mins left you need to defend from the front and he didn’t put anywhere near enough effort in with that today. As much as the other two were devoid of any real quality, they did that.
