    Swindon tickets

Club now saying tickets have sold out. Have requested more.

    Swindon tickets

I don't believe they did. Suspect the club published the wrong figure. 400 days after going on general sale for the first game of the season just didn't seem right. Probably only counted those they'd sold over the counter or something. Unless ticketmaster have got it wrong of course!

    Swindon tickets

This is the email I got: Hi Craig, There are currently no tickets for the Swindon game remaining. Please keep in touch with the website for news of any possible further allocations being made available. Regards, James

I did email them. They said all seats sold.

    Swindon tickets

Trying to get a couple of extra Swindon tickets. Ticketmaster advising all tickets currently sold. Club tweeting just 400 sold out of 950 (which doesn't really ring true at this stage). No response from club to confirm either way. Confused!

So , what does everyone reckon

We need to strengthen, we all agree on that. I think we will though, and I think given the number of bodies we are missing we've had a pretty decent pre-season - although that alone is meaningless. I think people are being overly pessimistic given that the squad is far from complete at this point.

So , what does everyone reckon

Err...yeah. I'd much prefer to listen to the views of those who were there to watch the whole game rather than form an opinion based on 10 minutes of lowlights from the opposition - who were always going to edit the video to include all their better moments.

So , what does everyone reckon

And you worked that out from a 10 minute compilation put together by Newport County? Of course I was happy with the performance. We won, and were never really in any danger by all accounts. Do you really expect fireworks and pulsating football in a game like this? It was a run-out played on...

Adam Armstrong allowed to leave on loan

I'm not sure the 135 miles will be an easy commute. Equivalent distance than from Coventry to Preston. Not sure the distance thing had much of a bearing tbh.

Adam Armstrong allowed to leave on loan

Don't get the Sheffield United resentment. They pull in 20,000 every week in division 3. Why wouldn't they be looking strong going into a new season?

So , what does everyone reckon

I wondered how long it might be before someone mentioned relegation. Have a word with yourselves. Predicting calamity on the basis of a 10 minute compilation of clips from a pre-season kickabout (which we won comfortably it seems) is the worst bit of punditry since Garth Crook's last bit of...

    Vincelot joins Bradford

The wilson money was used to cover the massive losses during the sixfields exile and gates of 2000. I don't think anyone has said we are break even just yet, but heading in that direction. There are plenty of football clubs in the lower leagues who have to use the transfer market to help...

Season Ticket Purchasing Thread Eleventy Billion

From the start of last season to Xmas we sold 1400 season tickets. Crazy decision.

    Vincelot joins Bradford

Are you really that surprised that a 3rd division club, especially one in our predicament, has to use transfer receipts to help cover running costs? We only turnover £7 million a year ffs. Are you also forgetting the 400k we paid for Jones? I would love it if they'd have a punt, but if the...

London Tube trains to be used for Ricoh Arena station

The station is able to process up to 3000 an hour (if there were sufficient trains). There is a large holding area with a system of lanes and barriers. The station was actually built for processing large numbers of people over a short space of time.

Season Ticket Purchasing Thread Eleventy Billion

I am sure I have heard something like this before with ticketmaster. Something to do with the fact that all home games are released for sale before the start of the season - and because of that it becomes difficult to offer season tickets as availability of a seat that has not been purchased...

    Season Tickets

The thing that I find surprising is the commitment to reply 'within 10 working days'. Really? Can't think of any other type pf business that would openly state the fact that it can take them 2 weeks to respond to an email enquiry. I'm not one to criticise the staff at the club - they all seem...

    Online tickets

Gates will almost certainly be down this season, probably by quite a lot. Last season we had a combination of cheap pricing and a flying start in the league. Can't see us averaging 12,000 again. That said, even with gates down, gate receipts might go up. The club have obviously decided that...

    Away ticket discrace...

Yeah, just got mine. Kept emptying the basket in the hope I'd get a better row, but kept getting row A or B. Wish I'd waited now. Behind the goal cheaper too I think.

    Mowbray's view

What's new? TM can appear downbeat after a 5-0 victory. Just his demeanour.
