Me and the Missus backpacked around India for three months and it is ridiculous how densely populated it is. You could be walking around Delhi or Mumbai at 01:00am and it would be as busy as Oxford Street on the last Saturday before Christmas!

Yeah they’ve done really well with the beer garden and had live music on over the weekend. Shame that as of Monday they had ran out of Moretti though.

All the obvious ones have been mentioned but I have to say leaving HR after watching Keane’s debut was an amazing feeling. Genuinely felt like we had signed the missing piece and that with him this team really could do something.

Think it’s been taken over by a guy called Harvey who also runs Bayley Lane and think used to run Chatterways back in the day. Such a weird pub The Squirrel and never really capitalised on its location in terms of food in the day and after work drinks etc. Hopefully he can turn it around.

Have to say Las Iguana’s, Dhillons and The Yard were all excellent (and busy) yesterday. The Yard in particular really have got it nailed and will make a fortune. Sitting outside in Cov though really does make you see that we have a severe problem in the city with smack.

The Rose and Woodbine on North Street has been good. No bookings, just walkups and plenty of seating, obviously the weather has helped. Mixture of the lads from the Devon, the Lady and the locals in there yesterday. Was great seeing a few of the lads I ain’t seen in months. Off to Dhillons...

They also own Lazy Monkey in town and have recently opened the Hungry Elephant in the old Kings Head on Blackberry Lane. The New Horseshoe is a bit spit and sawdust, you order at a hatch, no frills sort of place but the food and beer is excellent and the staff are excellent.

The Cobra in the New Horseshoe is one of the finest pints in the city IMO. The food is amazing as well!

My mate just rang me and sounds like half of the building sites are empty and everyone has gone the boozer!! Few spare tables up the Rose and Woodbine so might go and join them!!

Anyone going this week? A few of us have a couple of tables booked for Friday at 2pm. Got to admit I’m definitely more excited than a man in his 40’s probably should be.
