Their start will be key though. I really don’t see an any manager surviving a poor first month or two given the circumstances. That’s why I’m ok with Lampard because he has a few things going for him that might help him start well.

It's not about "kids waiting in the wings"? We've got plenty of young players with some experience who we need to kick on to the next level (Dovin, Thomas, Binks, Eccles, Torp, Rudoni, Simms etc.). That's what Lampard has done elsewhere.
