Block 15 and 16 Reopened for Sunderland

What did you expect from it? My wife gave out a lot of tickets at her school and said the kids were all bouncing, before and after. That sort of stuff is priceless. I am sure they will do it again at some point this season, and they should, perhaps reviewing the process as it wasn't perfect...

Block 15 and 16 Reopened for Sunderland

Has that been officially announced? Got a feeling it's just a system glitch.

    Planned trouble for Sunderland game?

All this fuss because Sunderland are bringing 4800. So what. Anyone would think they're breaking some sort of record. Their average away following last season was 1700, yet everywhere I look it's billy big bollocks stuff from them. Great numbers sure, but driven by that drop down a league, we're...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Barnsley Match Thread - Saturday 15th Sep

Surprised by the Doyle comments Otis. I thought he was outstanding today. Funny how people see things so differently!

    Sunderland at home

They won't get that many because the maximum number of away fans is now capped at 5000. Second point, we have 6500 season ticket holders. Even allowing for a few no shows, are you saying we won't sell a single ticket between one month ago when they went on sale and the end of next month? C'mon.

Security a bit over the top?

This policy in blocks 14-16 (which I know is not of the club's making) is senseless. Block 16 is so flat compared to last season. Checking tickets is one thing, but surely, by not allowing people to buy tickets in this part of the ground, you are making it more likely that people are going to...

    Where do i sit?

Just go to the ticket office before the game and as a match package holder you can sit in 14-16.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Saturday 18th Aug

No chance of only 8000. It will be down on opening day, as it was for the second home fixture last season (after back to back league wins), so the 'losses' comment isn't really valid. An extended bad run and of course crowds will decline, but it won't impact tomorrow which will be 10K+.

    It's the price. 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 all more expensive and 23 is families only.

Things are changing - nothing stays the same

Yesterday people were moaning about low density housing on greenfield in Kerseley. Today they are moaning about a high-density city centre brownfield development. I guess what people really want is less people. Seems like a high-quality residential scheme, the sort of thing you see in cities up...

    Singers Corner

Block 17 is almost completely sold out with season ticket holders. There are only about 200 seats available game by game so this block will be full every week. Can't see why they would move.

    City fans negative mindset

People spending too much time on the internet. Out in the real world I've encountered nothing but cautious optimism. All this teeth gnashing over internet rants by brain-dead millennials (in the main). Really? I was struck last season by how the supporters stuck with the team. A handful of...

    Match Thread Sutton match thread

Was asked the other day if I'd rather England win the world cup or city get promoted, and definitely the latter (although both would be nice). Can't get excited about friendlies though. Just half-paced kickabouts that tell us nothing really.

I'm definitely club before country, but think you're being a bit mischievous there Nick. You can't possibly mean that!

    It’s no surprise

You find the term 'Sweaty' offensive? Really? Wow. Stephen Fry has it right on this sort of madness: "It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no...

    Jodi Jones

Never understood that criticism. Cuts inside? Of course, that's exactly what he was there to do. Why else play a very left sided player wide right. It was the whole point. Predictable perhaps, but also effective. Scored against both Notts County and Lincoln switching the ball to his left foot in...

    Jodi Jones

I don't follow. You referenced JJ is league one (2 seasons ago) when he was barely out of nappies and playing in a poor side. He may not have learned much while out injured, but he is 2 years older and had an excellent half season in league 2. He is older, physically stronger and probably a bit...

Throwing Pints in the air to celebrate?

I've thrown my son in the air a number of times, does that count? I've been known to go apeshit, it's what football does to you. Never understood how some people can stay so restrained during a goal celebration. This stuff with the beer is silly. But if they're doing it amongst themselves...

Throwing Pints in the air to celebrate?

Really? People getting annoyed about this? So what. It's kids mainly. If they want to waste their beer let them. If property is damaged that's different. If someone gets hurt, same. But that video above is just youthful stupidity. Who cares.

    Maddison

I'm not sure how it works with sell on fees, assumed it would be staged in line with with the transfer fee, otherwise Norwich might have to pay their entire first installment to us. Like I say, I don't pretend to know exactly how these deals work. As for Robins getting none of the money, not...
