Very similar profile to Maguire with the same strengths but also the same weaknesses but exposed far less in Wolves' system. Unusual in that he's a left footer that plays on the right of a back 3 too. I agree he's better than Mings & deserves a call up at least.

There was a cut off at 37 games (the home game v Hull for us) but that's for those closing in on 10 bookings. The cut off for 15 is the end of the season. As mentioned he's currently on course to break the rather unwanted record for most yellow cards in a season.

Never heard before in my life & hopefully never will again. I got it but only by guessing an artist's name from the style & then flukily picking the correct one from the drop down.

This is my only concern with him. The positive is that it doesn't seem to be any repeat, recurring injury but lots of different niggles which in itself is a worry.

Yeah exactly, it's all a bit nonsense. 40 year old Peter Clarke is in their for god's sake! 😂

100% I am guilty for heavily criticising referees in match threads & at our games - it's a natural reaction. The other thing to remember is the majority of fans don't know or fully understand all the Laws of the Game but are convinced that they know best. I also attend an awful lot of games as...

Could just be that referees have an incredibly difficult job, simply call what they see & are human meaning they sometimes make mistakes (probably less than the average player in any given game).

    International break including WC playoffs

I don't see a problem with that tbh. I think you have to keep players around that you know can play the styles, systems & tactics you want & won't let you down. If Southgate picked purely on form Sterling wouldn't have played much/at all at the Euros & ended up being arguably the tournament's...

    International break including WC playoffs

Maguire is a very good centre back, exceptional in the air & uses the ball brilliantly. Unfortunately he also has glaring weaknesses, particularly with regards his pace/agility. For United he plays in a system which doesn't play to his strengths at all & actually exposes his weaknesses...

Due to his injury issues he's mostly been used as a (very effective) impact sub. 8 league goals in 1230 mins, many of which have been playing wide rather than as an out & out striker too. NPG/90 of 0.59 which is exceptional. Even Godden is only 0.55 NPG/90.

6th fewest now with 64. 13 of which are to Hamer. Again, there's no evidence of any "big club bias" in the stats. Blackburn are most booked with 95, Bournemouth are 4th for example. In terms of red cards, West Brom lead the way with 6, Bournemouth & Derby 5. 3 clubs have no red cards at all...

Sorry, don't get this... Maybe we have just committed more fouls? We have the most fouled player in the league (by a distance) & have received fewer yellow & red cards than our opponents too.
