    Project Big Picture...

I've often thought that the big 3, 4, 5, 6 or whatever they are in any given year should be encouraged to join a Euro Super League, but knowing that if they do that there is no fallback position for them in the English League. As pointed out elsewhere the supporters of all the likely teams in a...

    Match Thread Brentford Match Thread

Before the Bournemouth game there were plenty on here that thought they weren't very good. On paper we should get beat by Brentford too, but as the old saying goes 'football isn't played on paper', and football being the game it is means we are not without a chance.

On a wider note, savour those times with your kids. I know it can sometimes be a chore taking them training, helping put up nets or standing freezing cold or wet on the touchline somewhere, but you will get so many memories and stories to share.

    Loan Watch

I pointed out in the Summer that Drysdale has all the attributes to be a holding midfield player (more so than Dabo :)) so I will be interested to see how he gets on if they persevere with him in a midfield role.

My son played for the Eagles up until he was 16, and they played at Nico. Utd didn't play at Nico, not at that time anyway.

    International break

I think I'm with a few on here. Only really get into international games come the finals, and even then not like I used to. In the days of 16 team tournaments I would watch every single game, whoever was playing, but not anymore. Don't make any effort to watch any qualifying games or friendlies...

It seems obvious, but I presume you have reported him to the Police?

    Ex Player Watch

But for a good spell when he linked well with Enobakhare, Hiwula wouldn't be remembered too fondly by our fans. He had talent, but missed an awful lot of sitters and also went hiding far too often for my liking.

    Cov Conservatives

It would be pointless and hypocritical for them to point the finger at Labour when they've been in cahoots with them the entire time.

Since relegation from the Premiership ...

I don't think you've read the original question. The OP made it very clear that we are judging players on their time with us and not their careers before or after. Short though his stay might have been Wise's impact on the team was huge and he was just the sort of player our team could do with...

    Next 12 games

I get it when its at the end of the season and you're looking at the last half dozen or so fixtures, but there really is no point at looking ahead of ourselves right now when we really have little idea of what lies in store forus or the majority of the teams in this league.

    Next 12 games

We've played 4 games. What's the point looking 12 games ahead? I hate this kind of thread, because if its on the back of a loss its all doom and gloom, while if its on the back of a win then we will win them all, everything is knee jerk. Look at the pre match predictions before the Bournemouth...

    Hamer

Hamer has now set himself up as a target for all the opposition WUM's. Other teams will have watched last night and he needs to wisen up quickly, otherwise it won't be long before he will be getting sent off again. Aggression is obviously part of his game, and one of the reasons MR signed him...

    Wembley goals

Had to look it up to be sure but Ray Pointer scored for England at Wembley. Had less luck trying to find scorers from the England schoolboy matches played at Wembley in the 1970's. I know Terry Gibson played in one of the matches but can't find if he scored.

Apart from that Bonfire night match against Bradford. I don't think I've ever been so depressed to be at a football match as that night!!

Another 'last' is the last Midlands club to win the FA Cup - always pleased when they all get knocked out!

    Forgotten Trialists and Signings

If its the same guy I remember him making a fantastic run and cross which would have been a gimme to any self respecting centre forward, only for Kevin Kyle to be on his heels at the edge of the penalty area. I'm pretty sure it was Fadiga, and I can still picture his exasperated look of...
