Nonsense. Why would ACL want to kill the club?

The sticking point seemed to be the £1.3m arrears. Would it not be fair to meet halfway and Sisu agrees to pay 50%?

CCFC Ltd cannot be run at a loss...

Your right that owning the Ricoh would help the long term future of the club, but that is a very different argument to the rent issue.

Why won't people just be honest

Of course that was wrong, but the club didnt try and justify its actions. They simply said we don't have the money. If we had bought Leon Best and then after the deal was signed said "actually we don't think he's worth that much, so we're not going to pay", then I would have equally outraged.

Why won't people just be honest

It depends on which last time your on about. Most of my annoyance with this whole situation is the fact that TF and Sisu act like they are morally and legally right to do this.

CCFC Ltd cannot be run at a loss...

400k would be 1 players wage bill. I would sacrifice 1 player if it secured the long term future of the club. You have to ask why CCFC loses £4-£5m a year, the stadium situation is not the only problem.

Why won't people just be honest

The council haven't made a profit from it, all moneys have been reinvested back into the Ricoh. I doubt the same could be said for CCFC if we ever made a profit.

CCFC Ltd cannot be run at a loss...

The same could be said about CCFC. If they ran their business properly then £400k a year rent should be a doddle to pay. Its not ACL's fault that Sisu are incompetent business people.

Why won't people just be honest

If the council hadn't stepped in to save the Ricoh project CCFC would have gone bust. As we are so often told 'there is no one waiting to buy them' so presumably the club would have ceased to exist in 2003.

Why won't people just be honest

Be honest then, in 2003 should the council have refused to help the club out? CCFC asked the council for this current arrangement, were the council wrong to agree to it?

CCFC Ltd cannot be run at a loss...

Sisu seem to think it is acceptable for ACL to run at a loss though. Whatever deal is struck should be benificial to both parties. ACL shouldn't offer a rent deal that would see itself go into the red. This magical 'average league 1 rent' that Fisher keeps going on about is irrelevant if ACL...

Genuine question now then, what do you want the council to do?

    Fisher is on!

Sounds like time delaying tactics to me.

    Don't blame Robins

Why do some think it is unacceptable for robins to break a contract but not ccfc/sisu?

    its the end for us

If your suggesting sisu then I think their record in business speaks for itself.

Tim Fisher on Shane Oconnor 15 02 13

Acl have offered access to revenues. They have never said "hell will freeze over before ccfc get it". Why are you making up stories?
  17. coundonskyblue

    its the end for us

The council haven't made a penny out of the Ricoh.

    its the end for us

as for the courts ordering rents to be lowered it happens quite a bit in the high courts. business across the country are seeking judiciary involvment re rents.. especially high street venues you mean like reducing it from £1.2m to £400k?
  19. coundonskyblue

    If SISU did leave......

Is 400k that enormous? Leeds pay about £1.5m.

To the OP, were the council wrong to save the club in 2003?
