I don't think its that he isn't ready for championship first team I think he just needs a few first team games under his belt. He's the Essien type box to box skillful midfielder. His passes are accurate and powerful. He's just got something about the way he plays which makes you want to watch him.

Sammy really stood out for me. Great decision to make him captain. Always knows whats going on around him. Not afraid to get stuck in on tackles and very vocal. At one point he shouted "thats f*ckin shit" at Sheffs for pulling out a tackle. I agree that Crystie was very good, he's confident at...

To be honest i don't think the friendly has changed what I thought before i turned up at the Ricoh. The Murphy isn't as good as Westie but he'll do the job for the money we can pay. Defence looks good but only an injury or two away from trouble. Midfield is weak, we need more attacking players...

Joe Elliot was on talksport before the statue unveiling, he was obviously very involved and Micky Quinn was giving him a lot of support regarding Joe's position with the club.
