    Stephen Hughes and Ben Sheaf

He was a better player technically, but he was less effective and less influential. He was derided because he patently didn't make best use of his obvious ability. His goals return of 2 in his last 3 seasons with us was frankly woeful. Doyle can look back on his career of 700 games or so knowing...

    Pre Season 22/23

Not a chance. Once we lose to one of the teams in a league below us, which on previous experience of pre seasons been and gone, we inevitably will, the doom and gloom merchants will be out in force

    Stephen Hughes and Ben Sheaf

As pointed out, Hughes career was on its way down when he joined us. He had an excellent first season but was generally poor after that. I had the impression that having such a good start to his career had made him a little complacent, which led to him not living up to his early promise and...

    Wycombe vs Sunderland

The Sunderland team that played today would be fighting relegation in the Championship, while the Wycombe side would be near certs to finish rock bottom. Will be interesting to see how much Sunderland spend in the Summer, as they will surely have to do, if they have ideas of finishing mid table...

    Transfer Shouts

Maybe not, but will he be willing to take a big loss in wages to order to play elsewhere? Professionally of course he will want to play week in week out, but the advice and guidance he gets from his agent and family might be otherwise.

    Transfer Shouts

We definitely won't get a fee for him. I should think we'd happily give him away for free if there were any takers. Unlikely to be any that will be happy to take on his wages though, so the best we might do is cover a small percentage of his wages to whoever he would move onto. My gut feeling is...

    Transfer Shouts

Would have definitely taken him a few seasons back. However, he seems to play in the Sheaf role these days and I would rather stick with him.

    Who would we like

If so they could possibly be replaced by our big 3! Regardless though, Leeds will have a huge financial advantage over every other team in the league. It will take a hugely incompetent manager not to take them straight back up. Burnley would be far more likely to struggle.

    Who would we like

I disagree. I would expect Leeds to walk it.

    Transfer Rumour Derrick Kohn

Yes that's right. He was about 6 foot 2 and ended up playing the rest of his career as a footballing centre back in Belgium. I felt our weakness as a team at that time with Shaw and Williams was at centre back, so always felt we missed a trick by letting him go so quickly. I guess we also had...

    Transfer Rumour Derrick Kohn

Clement was Belgian and looked a decent signing. Got injured fairly early on though and it seemed Strachan didn't want to give him another chance after that. Ended up playing over 100 times for Belgium, and is one we should have probably persevered with in retrospect.

    Championship 21/22

Leave the play offs as they are. Don't see the need to tamper with something that works so well.

Am I the only one that doesn't want any bids?

    Transfer Shouts

You've mentioned him the last 2 pre seasons, so not surprised you've suggested him again :)

    Championship 21/22

I would rather MK or Wycombe come up as they are more likely to finish below us next season than the other 2 teams. We also have a good record against both. MK looked pretty good against Plymouth, but Wycombe pose an altogether different problem with their physicality and long ball game and it...

Rule changes you’d like to see next season

Perhaps we should wear a velcro type kit so our opponents would be caught red handed!

    Transfer Shouts

His stock is exceptionally high right now and he has been the stand out player in league 1 this season. He will more than likely command a bigger fee than O'Hare. He scored 20 goals this season as an attacking midfielder - imagine that! Before anyone jumps in thinking I'm deliberately targetting...

    Which one

Just a question - where is it reported that Hamer wants to move on? Not saying that him (or the others) wouldn't be up for a move if it came their way, but I read this type of thing a lot, and it just looks like guesswork to me.

    Transfer Shouts

I suspect our shot at signing Twine is long gone!

    Player ratings v fulham

I think Gyokeres has enjoyed playing week in week out. I would be very surprised if he went to Fulham to just be 'back up' to Mitrovic. I think if he goes it will be somewhere that he thinks he'll have a good shot at starting fairly regularly. It's a bit ironic, given they released him to us...
