    Match Thread WBA (h) - 12:30 - Sat 4th - on Sky

Getting this second hand (excuse the pun) but I gather Sky said it would have been ruled out by VAR and also ex Albion player, Tony Brown on BBC said it was handball. I will bow to the superior knowledge of people who have the benefit of rewatching the event several times especially in slow motion.

    Match Thread WBA (h) - 12:30 - Sat 4th - on Sky

Has anybody had that virus that went around the club this week? It's an absolute mother. Thought we would lose this one once I heard this. Probably a miracle we could put a team out and make half a match of it. As poor as we were, we were a handball away from a draw.

    West brom attendance

Most clubs outside of the really current big clubs who have not had a sustained period of success yo yo between really poor numbers that grow depending on quality of football and the amount of success achieved. Unfortunately, money is usually the deciding factor regarding success in the modern...

Oh Lord - RIP John Sillett

The only time since 67 when I didn't have a season ticket was when Butcher was in charge. Opted to work Saturdays instead. Opted out of Northampton and Brum as well. Before 67 used to go to every match but feared I wouldn't get in after promotion. Covered End, West End, West End stand, Ricoh...

Oh Lord - RIP John Sillett

Haven't read all the thread so don't know if this has been mentioned already but, we should all be singing Go for it city with the emphasis on led by George and John as a fitting tribute on Saturday.

Oh Lord - RIP John Sillett

Bye bye Snoz, a sky blue legend. Statue for Snoz and George to complement Jimmy. The three greatest modern day managers at the City. Robins and Adi well on their way to getting theirs too. Perhaps demonstrates the importance of a good manager and back up team.

    What a night .

I was there. Remember thinking how crap Anfield was with wooden bench seats. Memory not reliable, but I thought we scored a really good goal to make it 3-2 folloiwing a class cross from Hutch. Thought it was ruled out by a very dubious offside decision. Always happened at Anfield dodgy...

We should be beating teams like this.....

Rumour on BBC that Mitrovic is going to Juve in January. We live in hope.

    Walker

Worry Waghorn may break down again with his shoulder. A risk not having an operation at this stage as his game is based on physicality. Think Walker will get his chance as suspensions and injuries kick in and there is always the FA Cup. Unfortunate for Walker that Gyo and Godden are playing so...

    Match Thread Bournemouth away

We still haven't cracked it away but thats 3 without defeat. Our squad is paper thin and to lose Hamer and Rose plus a rest for Gyo meant we were not at our best. Add that to playing top two in the league away in a gale and I feared the worst. In the first half, I thought Bournemouth looked a...

    That Penalty decision

Not saying this with my sky blue glasses on. Watched the match back. Absolute nailed on penalty for us; their pen call, no way, he dived and minimal contact. Red card, all day long. For Bowyer to say it was a professional foul that happens every week shows what a neanderthal he is. Woods was...

    SISU Back your man...

Going to be really difficult to upgrade our squad in January. Loans to cover potential injuries and suspensions maybe. We do need more bodies, but PL loans want guaranteed playing time. Maybe some Chelsea reserve would be an upgrade, but who do you drop? Lightweight currently regarding left...

Been a lot of draws when we have played Brum in the last couple of seasons. Hope their injuries and Gardner suspension will give us the edge. Can't remember Gardner playing for us on loan. When was that and was he any good?

Where do you think we'll finish this season ??

I am a Cov fan so I expect the wheels to come off every match. At my age, if we were still at Highfield Road I would probably have been banished to the Kop with the old moaners. Not sure where they should put me out to pasture at the CBS, as it is noisy everywhere except in the posh bit above...

    Ben Sheaf

Don't understand why Kelly has suddenly become the whipping boy. He missed pre-season and that is often a precursor to a catch-up season and some poorer performances. See Dabo and Rose how they performed last year after being out for all the early games. Kelly used to be the first name on the...

    Birmingham attendance

So many matches over the years. Was a Saturday so unlikely to be league cup. Maybe a league game. Not 100% was Dave Bennet but hey ho, some Leeds fans were seriously awful. See also when they trashed the all-seater stadium at Highfield Road throwing the seats on the pitch. Never trust a nazi.
