I guess that we are all assuming that the blocks towards the goal (10, 9, 8 etc) are not going to be opened. It would be helpful if this could be clarified. If it is the case, someone (Simon Gilbert?) needs to get some explanation from the decision maker (the police?) as to why this is so...

That's true, but possibly - if things are settling down and going well - a first step could be to extend the current deal.

Philosophically, I'd be OK with a new stadium - financially, I remain to be convinced that it's viable. For me, the next step is a (probably) slow rebuilding of trust between the parties. Perhaps it was no coincidence that a feature of the successful talks was the absence of juvenile public...
