    What's the rule?

The bit about quick free kick is in the glossary/terms section at the end

    What's the rule?

That's fine when the defending team is out of position due to good attacking play (eg. when a cycnical foul stops a counter) but for situations like this it seems obvious to me that it is only fair to allow the team to get back in position.

    What's the rule?

Yes, both decisions would've been allowable, but basically all refs will use discretion there and allow the other team to get back.

    What's the rule?

No, because they wouldn't be "within the framework of the laws of the game".

    What's the rule?

LOTG allows him to do that, so the decision is correct. Decision can only be wrong if it's not within the LOTG. Could the referee have let them take it? Yes he would have been within his rights to. But no ref would let that happen.

    What's the rule?

Ref was clearly within his rights to do what he did, and it was correct.
  10. skybluecam

    What's the rule?

Come on Every team would have started celebrating that goal What the referee did was the fairest way to officiate the situation.
  11. skybluecam

    What's the rule?

Because most of the Leeds team were celebrating the goal that appeared to have stood. Sometimes a bit of common sense is required; that's why the referee always has discretion.

    The Oliver Dovin appreciation thread

I was worried what would happen when Dovin made his first error and whether he might wobble. But after the 2nd he was immense tonight. What a keeper we've got.

    What's the rule?

Realistically it was the right decision wasn't it, especially given the amount of time the ref took to disallow the goal.

Nah I reckon the 5/6 place teams do better than they "should" most of the time.

What's your point? We were awful again tonight and threw the game away inside half an hour, but again it was pretty much a free hit.

They'll never get it Football fans vastly overestimate the rate at which chances get converted. Your average 1v1 gets scored like 1/3 of the time.

Yeah they had 6-9 chances. But no one scores every single chance they get. That’s the point lol If we scored every single chance we had we’d have had 2-3. Would I say we should’ve scored 2 or 3? No.
