    Administration is our only saviour

A worrying prospect could be SISU closing the business down or liquidation, different rules to admin. i believe, and nothing to stop them doing it, doubt if they would because it would attract adverse national publicity.

    Administration is our only saviour

The only money owed as far as i know is to themselves, SISU, or the inland revenue but not sure how the tax issue works with the football club as it is part of the SISU Capital group. Also i think there is a cut off date with the football league to safeguard clubs who are at the bottom doing...

    Hoffman

You might be surprised rev. IF we have new owners and they as i am certain they will appoint a new manager and allow him some decent dosh to bring in new players fans will initially respond. The problem is there will be little room for failure. I think Sheffield Wednesday's gates are atleast the...

According to Stuart Linnell on CWR yesterday, yes. Hope that makes you feel a bit better.

Crunching the numbers - why we are almost certainly down now

During a season most if not all teams have their purple patch, we ain't had ours yet !

    Pearson midweek dismissal

If the ref. entered uninvited he is well out of order and i would think certain to be repremanded, even so foul and abusive language, if that is what happened, at an official before, during or after a match is not allowed.

    SISU Choices

I think it is quiet plain SISU no longer put any of their money into the football club, apparently our player wage bill is about £70k a week, Just over a quarter of a million a month plus the matchday rent, about £150k a match plus other bits and pieces that equates to around the half million a...

Its all down to tactics. Thorn out

All this tactics and formations crap are just that, crap. If you have 2 wingers like we enjoyed years ago with Humphries and Rees, Graydon and Hutchison, Bennett and Pickering, although not an out and out winger, then you attack from both sides of the pitch and get crosses in, stretch teams and...

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

I am afraid so, around christmas time people in the posh seats were very boyant about our prospects and are subdued now, hopeful of an early resolution to try and save our season, wasn't to be but still optimistic. Think all made the mistake of thinking any takeover was easy but obviously aren't.

Think re-appointing Strachan would turn the natives very ugly against any new regime.

Was keoghs foul a blatant push for the penalty?

The question should be why were we asleep for Chopra's follow up, to hit the bar bounce down and for the ball to be put in by another player without one of ours anywhere near is criminal.

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

I am certain whatever happens behind the scenes Andy Thorne won't be manager next season but until things get resolved one way or the other things will stay as they are. I could see an option of bringing in someone from within to take the reins, Carsley being an obvious candidate if he wants...

Just wondering where this new found belief came from

The table doesn't lie ! an old agage but true. The worst team ends up bottom.

If/when we get to about 10-12 points adrift

If and at the moment it looks a big if we are winning and at the right end of the division people will go, winning teams attracts fans, always has. And if and it's an even bigger if we were top of the league gates would rise significantly, thats football fans

    Thorn has to go

Do you and others really think Bobby Gould would be an answer, look at his record, it's awful.
  17. E

Why I think Thorn should go

No it isn't and results prove it. Good teams will let you have the ball in safe places and take it off you when things get dangerous, me and you nic could look good sat on the centre line passing to each other sideways, backwards etc, etc. Initially the Thorne way was a breathe of fresh air from...

Just wondering where this new found belief came from

The only thing i am clinging to is in this division win three on the bounce and you climb the league, but in our case it's one heck of a climb. Achieving survival now would be almost as big an achievment as Wembley 1987.

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

Hurts to say, but some of those apparently in the know, tell me this could and should have been concluded months ago but a certain Mr Delieu played hardball on his own back and knocked things off the rails, they seem to be back on track again, lets hope so.

Just wondering where this new found belief came from

NO, no takeover and you are looking at liquidation, no business can carry on the way we are presently.
