    Missing games whilst on holiday

I have French ancestry so go away in August and don't work that month. On reflection, I do F**k All the rest of the time. Always bought a season ticket, never bothers me I miss August matches and historically half-term, Easter and Christmas. Of course in the old days there was never a stream and...

    Robins dilemma

MR likes to have four strikers changing two for two as the game progresses. I expect another forward to come in before the window closes. Horses for courses depending on opposition, fitness and if players have been away on international duty.

    Match Thread Barnsley v Peterborough

I'm wondering how many players move from L1 for the prices being quoted? Have to be good and ready to go for £2.5 million plus and £2 million respectively. Don't know the players but seems a lot of money even with our current bank balance.

    2023-24 New Kit Thread

Used to be a stat that red strips won more games taken pro-rata when we were in the Prem. Not sure that still applies. Lot of teams wear sky blue now. Used to be mainly us and Man City with sky blue and white.

    Championship thread 23/24

Agree over a season. Kind of understand why Swansea have been our bogey team in the past, but Hull does my head in. Here's hoping we can step up at Swansea.

    RECRUITMENT NOW AND THEN

Pretty well documented that Badlan was responsible for the Gus signing. Appeared he left to better himself and it went pear shaped. Vic, Wilson, Fadz, Allen, Godden, O'Hare and Sheaf were signed during his tenure. I get it is a team effort from the recruitment staff through to all the coaches...

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

Worried Allen may have a career threatening problem. Difficulties with the heart can be serious and it looks like they are still doing tests before they let him compete.

    Boro ratings

Can't judge how good we are as Boro were pants. I'm with MR when he said we were better at Leicester and for one lapse of concentration and a great goal we would have come away with something. Wilson again did everything you would expect from a class goalie other than his odd off target long...

    Hamer

If Gus goes good luck. Once he is at another team that's it game over, some love, but time to move on. The King is dead, Long live the King. Unfortunate clash of names

Don't we always start out shit?

The team that finished last season would have seen the last two games out. That was our strength. The defence need to up their game. Losing 6 players out of our back 5 even though 3 at the end couldn't get a game. BNC, McNally and Doyle were first choice defenders. Their replacements are...

    Jack burroughs

Surprised Howley was ahead of Burroughs at the Dons as he is more a midfielder. Burroughs looked good at Watford last season on his debut at LWB then dropped a couple of poor matches at RWB. Loans at his stage of development are crucial to see if he can cut it playing regularly at quite a high...

    Matty Godden

Godden is at that wait and see stage. He has been brilliant for us since signing and some people see a decline whilst others think this is just a blip in a great career for us. If, (a big if) he can stay clear of injury his experience is going to be invaluable this season no matter how many...

    The booing of Doyle

Thought it was much classier from Leeds fans when they chanted Whelan is a Leeds fan. Supports the player and disses the opposition. Not so much one greedy bastard for MacAllister.

    O'Hare

O'Hare was brilliant before his injury and if he can come back as good our front line should be firing. Word of caution, that was a really bad injury and sometimes halts career progression. Fingers crossed as he is a great player and a brilliant personality. Get the sunglasses ready

    Lati

Maybe Rose, but Thomas was behind McNally in the pecking order at Burnley. McNally loaned to a Championship side last season, Thomas to a L1 side. Burnley opted to sell Thomas to us for 2million. Apparently, they wanted 4 million for McNally which we deemed too much. Burnley kept him as they...
