I really wish the council had, but I can sort of understand a (admittedly short term) sell it to anyone who's not SISU mentality. Unfortunately the net result is that we're left up the creek without a .... ummm....stadium.

I have some sympathy with that point, but then I think you have to ask why. In my view, it was because of the way SISU behaved in trying to get "a cheap deal". There is negotiating hard and then there is behaving in a way that makes people not want to deal with you at all.

The online system was showing 4,441 tickets available on Monday morning. Just checked and that's now fallen to 1,375. Looking fairly promising!

Always liked Bigi. You could see him fitting into TM's style of play. Things obviously haven't worked out for him at Newcastle, maybe this is a loan with a view to making it permanent?

He got to most of the games this season. His last one was Blackpool. Like all of us, he was enjoying the much more exciting football.

Odd how perspectives can vary. I think that he comes across as remarkably polite and restrained.

I remember Bobby Parker. Captained the England youth team IIRC. Was talked about as "the new Bobby Moore". Decent player, but as you say, it never quite happened for him.

Was that the home game that was our first after relegation - the week after we won at Stockport? If so, I'm not sure it supports the point it was intended to, as that was a capacity crowd at Highfield Road as I recall.
