    Why

It is pretty trivial. What would it be, £250k max? When we are now regularly signing multi million pound players that's tiny.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 15th Mar

I'd like to see a reaction from the Derby game. If we could beat them it would be huge mentality wise.

    Sheffield United Match

Yeah I remember watching this Pundits talking about potential nerves for Soton and that you never know what you'll get from a team with nothing to play for. 20 mins in, 2-0 down, the place was like a party.

    Tuchel's First Squad

Tuchel is a pragmatist. I'm a little disappointed to see Walker and Hendo in there but maybe he's trying to maintain the dressing room balance. From his press conference you can see that his strategy will be small tweaks to try and finally get us over the line - evolution not revolution.

    Champions League 24/25

Exactly. I don’t buy the “accident” argument either. The skill of penalties is executing a relatively simple skill under extreme pressure. If you fuck up, that’s your fault. No one thinks Terry should’ve been able to retake that CL final pen because he slipped over do they?

    Champions League 24/25

If players can touch the ball more than once when taking a pen you can try all sorts of nonsense.

    Summer Transfer Window

Sheaf hasn’t even contributed much. Getting 6-7m for him, spending half of that on a replacement and using the rest elsewhere would improve the squad. Wright has barely played under Lampard and we’ve done well, and it would be a big fee.

    Champions League 24/25

Allowing players to touch the ball twice would open a can of worms. The rule is fine, the application is fine. I still hate VAR and would get rid but as with the Wright goal at Wembley this is the correct application of the current rules.

    Champions League 24/25

Not really, that has to be the rule and the application of the rule or players would abuse it.

    Loyalty Point Bands

Just an irrelevant comment. Picking up 50 or so points in the reminder of this season could be the difference between being able to get tickets or not next year if we get promoted.

    Why

I don’t think Rodrigues deserves a chance just because he’s young. He was always a gamble given where he was coming from, probably just isn’t even at Paterson’s level at the moment so no point him getting in the squad. He still has barely played any meaningful minutes for the club.

    Why

I don’t think Rodrigues is up to it

I sort of agree but usually he can at least do the basics right. Tonight he went totally AWOL in defence

Match Thread Derby County - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Mar

I’m not too arsed about tonight but we need a reaction on Saturday. And probably need 3-4 points from our next 3 now. Disappointed in Bidwell though, he looked all over the place in a game we needed his experience and consistency.

    5 at the back?

Don’t want to see 5 at the back. I’m not sure why Eccles is our most advanced midfielder, I would rather either Torp or even Allen there instead. He’s not creative enough.

    Loyalty Point Bands

My point was that it's still possible for people on lower points totals to gain points right now, that might not be the case at all in the prem as I imagine most games would sell out well before 1200 points.
