    Transfer targets

With us supposedly after a LCB where does that leave Binks? He can't get in the team now, so if we sign Kitching or another LCB he falls even further down the pecking order. If we let Bidwell go can he fill in at LWB?

    48 hours remain

If we don't sign anyone today this site will be on meltdown tomorrow, with all the rumours, sightings at KFC and ''the lights are still on at the Ricoh'' type rumours. I can't wait!!

    Transfer targets

A bit of an exaggeration to claim O'Brien was amongst the worst players we've had. The season after he left there was near enough a whole team that were worse!

Do The First Team Players Read This Forum?

Clearly for their own mental well being they should stay well clear, but human nature and curiosity means some will end up being made aware of comments made on here, either directly or through mates. Consequently I am uncomfortable with the throwaway 'he's shit/ lazy' type comments made on here...

    Long throws

The reason they weren't so effective with us were more to do with Coleman's tactics (or lack of them). We tended to only send one of our centre backs up which meant we were easier to mark. Apparently we didn't practice them very much either, so as a result and in contrast to the likes of Stoke...

    Transfer Rumour Palmer to Norwich

If Bidwell is likely to go I wouldn't be averse to a deal involving somekind of Palmer/ McCallum exchange if it was in our favour, particularly if we do have an attacking midfielder lined up from Europe. All bullshit I suspect though!

    Long throws

Agreed on that. Must have a better chance of scoring if you don't allow the opposition time to organise their defensive set up against it. I suppose the counter argument is that the attacking team also need time to send their centre backs up, and organise defensively against a possible counter...

    Long throws

As a former long thrower myself I think I was bloody fantastic :)

    We don't create enough

Maybe my memory is being selective on Palmer given so many seem to have the opposite view. But for it being a 0-0 draw I would look back to check! I can mostly just remember being really frustrated that when he had often shown great skill to get in a dangerous position, that he was then wasteful...

    We don't create enough

Palmer is a problem for us creativity wise. He is excellent at creating space and finding a yard on his markers with a bit of trickery but his final ball or shot is more often than not poor. If he had been in the same position as Ayari when he played in Wright yesterday, Palmer would have either...

    Refereeing

Don't the highlighted already apply, yet poor errors are still made even with VAR. I don't see how paying them more automatically would equate to a better performance.

    Refereeing

By what logic would paying refs more money automatically improve their performance levels?

Anybody watched mission to burnley ?

I always think these fly on the wall documentaries are much more interesting when a season goes pair shaped!

    Any more this week?

Eccles is also under rated. He suffers as others have done before him from always being judged by first impressions, as is often the case when homegrown young players make it through the youth team, with 'some' fans constantly viewing him as still being that same youth player as when he first...

    Sunderland crowd..

I empathise with that viewpoint, but what do you expect to happen if we do meet the 'promised land'?

    Sunderland crowd..

You seem a bit blinkered on this issue! Some of your points have value, but they lose their effect by your exaggeration of other points you make. If come Saturday Sunderland do only bring 2.5k or so then your viewpoint will be backed up to a degree. However, combining that with the viewpoint...

    Refereeing

Swansea had plainly struggled at defending set pieces before our game, and had obviously decided to test how far they could push the ref with blatant blocking and shirt tugging to counter that. Once it became obvious he wasn't going to penalise them their tactics became more and more blatant. I...

    Sunderland crowd..

I happen to agree with you on the kids/ young adult pricing, but I don't believe that is the sole reason for Sunderland not selling 5k this time round.

    Sunderland crowd..

Point I'm trying to make is if they had won their first 3 games they would sell out the whole 5k or whatever they were allocated. Its easy to use a boycott as an excuse for not supporting your team if you're disatisfied with their on field performances.
