You could combine the best players from the bottom three and I still don’t think they’d be as good as wolves. Cunha, Gomes, Andre - 3 regular Brazilian internationals in the 4th worst team in the PL.

Be interested to see sky's viewing figures the past few weeks. EFL have been serving up some more interesting games. Sunday for example, with the overlap in the Sheffield derby, or Arsenal vs. Chelsea. EFL Cup final was great in fairness. A fired up Newcastle are pretty fun to watch, and...

Obviously class to see them be so bad. Worrying how badly the promoted sides have fared this year though. Fully expecting all three to be very competitive again when they come down as well. From a sporting pov it's awful. I've been losing interest in the PL for a while, but this year has to be...

My concern would be, who’s buying him, and for how much? Injury record is so poor I just can’t see major investment from the sort of clubs who’d be interested.

Oh yeah definitely. I'm very unsure what you do with Sheaf long-term.

Also when he’s on song Sheaf is absolutely class. FA Cup run last season, dominated Wolves and Man Utd. If we go up this year I think we’ll need that Ben Sheaf at some point.

Injuries are part of football and cruelly affect some more than others. Don’t think for a second Sheaf would back out of a game that he felt he could positively contribute to.

It’s not a black and white thing though is it, he’s clearly feeling something. Don’t want anything risking the Sunderland game.

Derby are depleted. I’d say we’ve got to fancy ourselves for three points. I would make changes and use the squad. Allen, Sheaf, Wright, BTA, Bidwell all in for me. Resting MVE a huge risk, but I would. Lati genuinely appalling there last time though so May regret it.

Best 11 since return to the championship

Dovin MVE Ostigard McFadz Maatsen Sheaf Grimes Rudoni Hamer Wright Gyokeres Appreciate Grimes not be here long but that team would be unbelievable. Honourable mentions; Doyle, McNally, Thomas, O’Hare, EMC, Simms

Remember Salah dislocating his shoulder in the CL final and he was back for the World Cup a few weeks later, albeit he was pretty poor

    Hmmmm

Not sure I agree with the Ipswich slagging. They’re very well set for future.

The ghost of O’Hare finally laid to rest?

Trying not to be too revisionist. O’Hare was unbelievable for us. They are very different. Cal had an intensity and that ability to create something out of nothing. Rudoni is more consistent, and he’s technically far better. Rudoni has the ingredients for top level football, he’s 6’1”...

Spotting fellow Cov fans in the wild

Not quite of the theme but I once bumped into Richard Wood in Leeds on the Monday lunchtime following his last minute own goal for Rotherham against us (around 2014). Needless to say I was an arse and mentioned this to him (“once a sky blue. Etc.”) He had the good grace to laugh and was...

    Ellis simms

I think the difference of late is that he doesn’t have to score to play well. He used to be anonymous in games, now he’s minimum a handful for their defence.

    Ellis simms

He was superb yesterday. Thought he dominated his duels with their CB, and gave us a real outlet. 2 goals without much being created for him, and unlucky with the one ruled out.

Are we going to "shit" our way up!?

To win the play offs, we need to play better than we did yesterday and midweek.

Are we going to "shit" our way up!?

I do think a lot depends on Sheaf and Wright. When on form, they’re our two best players. If they can raise the levels, then we’ve got a good chance.
