    How good is Sakamoto?

Been a bit disappointed with him this year. However, he has not really had a run of games and MVE has been below par too. Last season they were brilliant together. His injuries haven't helped.

Channelling my inner Kevin Keegan, I would love it if we can beat these. Dirty team so we need a strong ref. Their manager went mental when they beat us at the CBS. Please return the favour. If Bannon is out that is a big plus for us.

    Overrated players

Gary Breen. A great song doesn't make a good player. Relegated three times from the Prem with three different teams.

    Overrated players

Emerson was brilliant when he joined, same as Roy Barry. Both never recovered from broken legs, so unfair to single Emerson out.

Cheer up Rob Gurney, Oh what does it mean for a Coventry supporter...You know the rest. Just edged it against a good powerful team. Dovin brilliant again.

    Jack burroughs

Burroughs was very good for 80 mins against Watford on his debut. When he switched to the right he was knackered and got lucky. Some few appearances for us as subs, I think, and looked well off the pace. At Lincoln was first choice back until his car accident. When he came back couldn't get in...

    Championship thread 24/25!

Blackburn owners are really bad. They are a small town team punching above their weight. Low gates and poor income streams. There is limit to what any manager can achieve there.

    Raphael

If we could be 4-0 up ho,ho, and bossing a game, I would like to see him given a good 30 mins to see how he gets on.

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

Two of the most dispiriting performances I have seen in years along with the Portsmouth debacle. Yes I was there at Yeovil and Stoke at home in our playoff season. Earlier in the season we were losing because every shot on target seemed to result in a goal, whomever the goalie was. Chances were...

    Premier league standard

The gap between the Championship and PL gets a little bit wider every year. Doing a Brentford, Palace, Bournemouth or Forest gets harder. You find a great player (Vic and Gus) they are cherry picked whatever league you are in. Getting a billionaire owner helps but does not guarantee success...

    The Oliver Dovin appreciation thread

All the commentators, Farque, Lampard and the Leeds fans said it was a goalkeeping error. These things happen. He was brilliant the rest of the match as he has been for the last number of games. Absolutely no reason to try and share the blame. It was his ball and he dropped it. All goalies do...

Match Thread Coventry City - Ipswich Town [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 8th Feb

I absolutely agree. We have to dare to dream that we would be sensible with purchases and wages if promoted. Sell stars at a premium if relegated and buy great players to go straight back up. Easier said than done, but achievable.

Said it well before their Cardiff match who ever agreed to play this fixture when Leeds were in brilliant form and we had our three best players out was daft. I'm not convinced we had to play the game and we had no option? Never happened before to my knowledge. This game may impact on...

    The Oliver Dovin appreciation thread

Love Dovin but he fucked up for their second goal and has to own it. All players make mistakes. Jesus, there were enough throughout the team against Leeds and I am not excluding the ref on occasion. Goalie mistakes tend to be more important. Would not have changed the result, we were pants.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Leeds United - Match Thread - Weds 5th Feb 7.45pm KO

Back to life, back to reality. Couldn't get near them. Reminded me of us against Oxford last year. Needed a firing Haji today. Leeds were brilliant except for their finishing. An insight into what it would be like in the PL with this team.

He was in our playoff team. Unsung hero. Plays lots of minutes when fit. Like all players in midfield will need a rest soon. Our most experienced midfielder. Suits five at the back. Don't think he would be as good in a four at the back.

    Josh Eccles

Eccles has been a first choice for some time now in the team that reached the playoffs and the FA Cup run. A top 6 and a top 9 team. He has got better year on year and is not afraid to get stuck in. That is until this season when he has looked less effective in an underperforming team. There...

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

The question is Allen's form sustainable? I believe so. There is no doubt in my mind he has been one of the main reasons for our upturn in form along with Dovin and Kitch. Always supported and been an Allen fan who keeps getting written off. Totally unfair considering the injuries he sustained...
