Ross county and inverness are 2 weeks ahead of us in pre season as their season beings on the 4th. I didnt expect a victory and expected a hard fought game against a side likely to be fitter at this stage. The real indicators will be the 3 games against league 2 sides at the end of pre season.

I think the formation works well. It offers a good deal of attacking options and also defensively can revert to 4-5-1. The option of having 2 strikers on the bench can allow for the formation to change during the game if needed, something lacking last season.

Reason they havent played at league one level is they were busy playing at higher levels. Kilbane was the fittest in the early training sessions which must have been difficult on his 'failing' legs i imagine. Fleck is far more talented than Thornton already. Elliott is called a donkey after 20...

Dribbled past a man with no end result unfortunately. We dont need him or his type of player this season. We currently need a target man and a goalscorer, neither of which Nimely is.

I wouldnt have him back. We need goalscorers and for al his pace he wont provide us with the necessary goals. We appear to be well off for attacking midfielders in the new formation and i dont see NImely being good enough to play as a lone striker.

Surely tho if we want to sign him its in our interests not to risk injury too. He may well have picked up the injury in training yesterday.

He is signing number 4. Kilbane, Elliott, Fleck and Malaga...not signed a fifth yet.

Interesting signing which could turn out to be a gem. Add Jennings, which looks likely, and possibly another and we actually have a squad rather than a first 11. Signs are looking good. PR suggests he wont be playing at Hinckley tomorrow though.
