Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Can't we all agree to agree that we oppose the acl-wasps idea? The opportunity we have is to at long last achieve fan unity. The Trust is now the only fans' group so they have a great opportunity to bring fans together and make our voice heard loud and clear.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I think the Trust will have 100% support on this one. Might also be time to whack in the Asset of Community Value (not sure that's the right phrase) application - the interests of acl-ccc are not the same as supporters. Didn't see you at Scunny and tomorrow I'm going to cov not Rochdale but...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Excellent post, Steve - spot on. I haven't seen a single post on here nor spoken to any City fan who doesn't oppose the wasps idea. Is the Trust going to convey this to acl-ccc in no uncertain terms?

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

My concern is solely the interests of the team and fans and I will oppose anything that is detrimental to those interests. I criticised sisu for what they've done and I'll criticise acl over this. As Duffer said, acl-sisu should be sitting down and planning a mutually beneficial future not...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I'm a Cov RFC fan too so the double-whammy of acl not telling wasps where to go is maybe adding to my absolute fury over this

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Just as with sisu over ntfc, you identify weak spots and go for it. acl is not going to act contrary to ccc. Therefore lobbying councillors is an obvious approach if acl are acting contrary to the interests of fans. The starting point though is believing that fans should be involved and then...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Life is full of situations where people have different interests and have to choose how to deal with reconciling that. The fundamental issue isn't whether acl or sisu are right or wrong to prioritise their profits - the issue is that as fans we are in the hands of two companies whose interest is...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Hi Wingy Even if there's not a word of truth in this, the very fact the story is out there and acl haven't denied it undermines all the talk of a fresh slate and working for a better future. It makes the future look as uncertain as ever and betrays the efforts of SP and the team and shows total...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I had a really good night at Scunny (result apart) and it really felt like getting back to talking only about football, focusing on the match and being able to forget about all the off field stuff so this just has me raging - acl/sisu playing games and silly buggers with no concern for fans. How...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

By getting back to the Ricoh we've just proved fans can influence things!

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

If this is true then it's as wrong as us being moved to NTFC. The Ricoh is the home of CCFC - end of. And we have our own rugby club already. Have acl, ccc, sisu not learnt a thing from what's gone on? Are they intent on destroying our club one way or another? The only thing acl should be saying...

    Scunthorpe match thread

Credit to him then for seeing it wan't working and changing it. Just a shame we didn't hold out till half time. With 11 I'm sure we'd have won comfortably cos Scunthorpe were poor

    Scunthorpe match thread

Haven't read the whole thread so apols if this has already have been posted, but it wasn't clear why we didn't make the change straight after the red card. That was the few minutes they equalised and we looked ragged. As soon as SP took one of the strikers off and brought Hines on we looked...

The Ricoh Return and What Now?

Apologies but amidst the wonder of Andreasb's comments I missed your post. You may well be right on all points but the difference in the Gillingham and Yeovil gates was considerable (I'll admit to be being wrong cos I thought Yeovil was going to be much higher). Any idea why the Sky Blue Trust...

The Ricoh Return and What Now?

I've done my bit so it's for others to decide what next. There have been some really good posts on here recently eg Noggin's idea of how the club could very easily seek the views of thousands of fans, Duffer's analysis of the current situation, torch said something v good about prices and I...

The Ricoh Return and What Now?

(kcic mailout 14.9.14) The Ricoh Return “If the supporters had turned out in their numbers at Sixfields…there would not have been such a great pressure to return” - the words of Steven Pressley kcic was the only fans’ group to support the sixfields boycott so SP's words mean a lot...

    Tickets sold

There's a lot of guessing about what the crowd will be on Saturday and it may well be higher than some of the very pessimistic forecasts, but even if it is only 10-12k that's a lot more than there would have been at sixfields and gets us back to where we were in 2012/13 so fears of dipping lower...

    Fisher's Remarks...

Neither acl nor sisu come out of the fiasco looking anything other than bad (there's lots of other words that could be used but 'bad' will do). The secrecy of the deal allows them both to hide their failings and contradictions. As fans, we are still in the hands of two companies whose interest...
