    No Training

There is some fatigue (mentally and physically) in the squad, several of which are carrying a few knocks. A couple of days to get their heads together and get a little R&R, prior to coming back a little sharper and more concentrated..? No bad thing, but it is all hypothetical.

    Transparency

Cost cutting is a necessary process for a Club like ours. If they had given us that little bit of 'transparency' (presumably corporate speak for "not completely bullshitting your own fans"), I would imagine a large proportion of fans would have found the lack of replacements for important...

Football Fans as Consumers - Could this lead to fans switching teams in the future?

My old man is Scottish and grew up supporting Aberdeen. For the last thirty plus years he has lived in and around Coventry. He took me to my first game at Highfield Road twenty plus years ago and continues to follow them home and away now. If you asked him who he supported, he would say Coventry...

    Eastwood + ROD

Having been demoralised through the recent trip to Brizzle, I am all but resigned to relegation. It will not change my level of support or anything like that, I am just less hopeful than I have been and suspect staying up might prove a bridge too. In light of that, Freddie can get fucked and we...

    Gary Hoffman

Sorry, I read both threads and commented; thought what you said was applicable to what I had put and tried to qualify it. It is probably my lack of forum etiquette, as you were.

    Gary Hoffman

At the risk of extending a circular argument, the OP doesn't state that he hasn't spoken to him for ages or asked him about any takeover.

thoughts on your trip to BRISTOL,please?

I've had a few good nights out in Brizzle, but I was just there for the day with three mates yesterday. Parked down the road and went for a couple in the Hen & Chickens. Both fine. Nice to have an array of boozers and eateries on the walk down... highlighted some deficiencies with the Ricoh. I...

    Gary Hoffman

I'm not sure about any 'inner circle', especially not in the context of being a friend of Dorothy. I commented on the previous thread because he is a mate of my Dad's and someone was effectively calling him a knob for shaking hands and looking smug at Bristol City. As I was there and it was very...

Fuck me, your car is slow.

    Gary Hoffman

As a Coventry fan, frustrated with our season and SISU's actions, I can understand pessimism about the legitimacy of "Hoffman's bid". Of course I can. He is a mate of my Dad's and I always press him for info, but the truth of the matter is that there is very little to update. The investors are...

    Gary Hoffman

Not that funny. I was stood with him. He came in late and it was unreserved seating. He was with his Dad, his son and his brother. He was supporting the Club he has always supported. Crucial game. If someone went to shake his hand, he shook it. Stop the press, eh?

    I feel cheated

For Deegan read Michael Doyle. He had an ~ alright game today. In recent weeks, his distribution has been awful. Because he doesn't have the technical ability, he is going to be one of those divisive players who is either 'shit' or 'wears his heart on his sleeve'. Not the sort of player I would...

    I feel cheated

I think we argue the same points from only just either side of the 'pro / anti Thorn' divide. I don't think he is blameless for a second. I do think he gets unwarranted stick. The only people to leave the ground from a Coventry persuasion with any credit are the fans.

    I feel cheated

PS - I am not likening Thorn to God. He is clearly much more Buddha.

    I feel cheated

I am still wet from being in Drizzle Brizzle and pissed off with the fact we are all but relegated. One of the many games I have taken in this season, but probably the most disappointed I have been. If someone states their opinion (that Bell / Baker / whoever is not good enough), you do not have...

    Just back from Bristol...

Sorry, mate. I didn't realise people were giving it the biggun, I was only reacting to you applauding the fans who made the trip for drinking in the right pubs.

Terrible, just terrible + Ratings... Ha

The fact that you think Clingan deserved 3 out of 10 belies the fact that ratings are subjective. Platt didn't have a great game. Sheffers did very little. Clingan was better than the ball with most and contributed more than Norwood. But, we like Norwood and we don't like Clingan, so we see what...
