    Hamer

That makes no sense. You're saying we're nearer top 2 without him in the team? The idea we can use the money and are guaranteed to emerge stronger I just don't buy. The money would get a straight replacement likely nowhere near his level and a couple of £1-£2 million players that could well flop...

Well yes, but that's highly unlikely to be this season is the point. That rebuild would take a while.

Agree. Despite all the noise I don't see him as a regular starter.

    Hamer

If he goes we have to lower our expectations for this season and show patience. I don't care how giddy we get over this signing or that signing, to lose two of the best players in the division in one summer and it's a massive rebuilding project that could take a couple of seasons to bear fruit.

Started well, but all gone a bit flat. Typical pre season tempo really. Nothing to be concerned about As mentioned above, we are probably one game shy of where we should be, pity that game in Portugal was cancelled.

You can do that, but if you have a smart TV you're likely to have YouTube app on that TV itself?

Remember that, wasn't it a mini tour of the south west? I remember watching us at Plymouth and Yeovil on the same trip.

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

I guess there is a lot of noise about it at the moment as 5 of last 6 away games (QPR, Boro x 2, Leicester and Wimbledon) have not made it beyond points windows. It will settle though and there will be opportunities for next set of away games.

    Rocking all over the world

I think this will continue. For example, the new hotel on Rowley's Green Ind Est (originally rejected by planning committee) is going ahead as the decision was overturned on appeal. So that is going up opposite the North stand in the near future.

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

Personally I'm alright because I have nearly 1600 points, and I do think a loyalty system is needed, but I would be in favour of a slight tweak that kept some in reserve for high demand games that went to a ballot. I don't think it is a closed shop (despite being accused of saying that by...

    Rocking all over the world

Fair enough, people have different priorities I suppose and not everyone wants a load of beer before the game! Just prefer the buzz a city centre ground creates. As for transport, they are much easier to get to for those not traveling by car (they are accessible via literally every bus and...

    Rocking all over the world

Why is it an ideal location for those travelling by coach? The people on it are not driving, and you'd surely much prefer to get off in a town centre than a windswept car park with nowhere to get a beer or kill a few hours before kick off. Genuinely surprised to be having this debate to be...

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

Out of that list of games, I only said two or three sold out in higher priority periods. I was also mistaken about SU not quite selling out. You've gone to great lengths there to disprove something I didnt actually say, including listing night games which I explicitly didn't include. I simply...

    Rocking all over the world

Might apply to some, but I've spoken to some who hate it. What's to like? A six mile taxi ride to and from the city centre before and after the game? Worst away days I can think of are Reading and Colchester, middle of nowhere, no pubs, utterly devoid of soul. Those places could be absolutely...

    Rocking all over the world

But you can say that about any ground. Lost count of the grounds I have been to that have been completely dead on that particular visit. Highfield Road could be shit, bit it was also great on occasions too. Atmosphere is just one part of what makes a stadium great. Take SJP, Bramall Lane...

    Rocking all over the world

Location is terrible. On a list of priorities for a football ground 'easy access to the motorway' would be bottom. The matchday experience has massively improved for sure, but it's a shit location and no surprise it's often ranked as one of the country's worst away days.

    2023-24 New Kit Thread

At least the 3rd kit looks decent. Agree with the comments above about delays revealing the designs. What's the point of a big social medai reveal next week when everyone knows what they look like already? Not a big issue of course, just one of those minor things they can sharpen up on.

How Easy is it to Share Season Ticket

I know a couple of people who have bought season tickets for the points mainly, but can only do 5 or 6 games, so they will sell it at pro-rata face value for the other games amongst friends and family. Club should be mindful of this when setting matchday prices, set them too high and it will...

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

Reading and QPR didn't make ST only window. Swansea did, so was mistaken on that one. Hear what you're saying though. There won't be a massive scrum for Swansea and Hull tickets, so will be opportunities.

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

What you basing that on? Last season, after the world cup break, we sold out every single weekend away game and many of those within top priority windows. Using your 2 season ticket example last season, you'd have missed out on Blues, Albion, QPR, Boro x 2, Reading and Swansea. Also...
