Match Thread Exeter City (a) 29th July

I watched yesterday’s game via You Tube but I have been at the other three friendlies. I thought yesterday’s performance by Simms was about on a par with the first three games. He is obviously a very different type of centre forward to Viktor and unfortunately, initially won’t compare...

Same total as me but I have to confess I was still in my bed when you were setting off to work!

    New Stoppage time

I was surprised it is stated so blatantly that the correct time wasn’t added on before. It states in the article above that ‘a nominal amount of time’ would be added. It’s no wonder teams deliberately wasted time when quite clearly the referee was doing very little about it.

Wimbledon sold out on day 1

As has been mentioned though, not too many away games sold out last season. I’m lucky, I’m retired and can afford the time and the money to attend games such as Wigan, Preston and Blackburn away last season. I have a son living in Stockport who comes with me to these games iso that is an added...

    Trevor Francis

Tommy Hutchison played with Trevor at Man City in the early 80s. He told me that Francis was perhaps the best player he ever played with. (some praise considering the calibre of his team mates, Dalglish and Law to name but two). He saw passes and moves that no one else saw were on. Tommy felt...

    Supporters forum - 5pm Thursday 20th July

It would be good if the club through Boddy or the safety officer actually came out and gave the whole rationale for the limiting of capacity at that end of the ground. It does seem at the moment a bit piecemeal. If people can see the whole picture and the good reasons why decisions are made, the...

    Supporters forum - 5pm Thursday 20th July

It does seem strange that a stadium built to hold 32k for men’s football matches can’t handle that capacity. I suppose it ultimately comes down to morons who think it’s okay to use football and our club for anti social and violent activities. It does seem that the problems with people attacking...

    Moving again

Unfortunately you can still make out their name and logo where it used to be stuck in the outside of the arena. Needs painting over I assume.

    Supporters forum - 5pm Thursday 20th July

One of the things that I found annoying with all of the segregation that exists is the closure of the club shop after games until (presumably) the away coaches have gone. I tried to go in after one of the games last season but was told by the steward manning the fence that I’d have to wait until...

    Season Tickets!!!

Rather late in the day, we have decided to renew my granddaughter’s season ticket. We tried to do it online this afternoon. Everything was fine until we came to pay and a message came up saying that a child’s ticket could not be bought alone, it has to be bought in conjunction with an adult...

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

Blackburns failure to beat Bolton three days before the Wolves game confirmed our promotion. By the time we met, both Wolves and ourselves were up.

Now its potentially a reality , Will mark Robins be Coventrys greatest manager if we get promoted

It took him those three games to get to grips with the team. After these games the form of that team was transformed. A team that was constantly losing hit a level that wasn’t far off play off form if continued across a season. Oxford were red hot favourites for that game. I’m pretty sure if...

    Final Tickets Thread. Yessss

I don’t think you take into account the other costs of attending games. Admittedly the money doesn’t go to the club, but it still leaves the bank account. Travel costs are not cheap. Lots of people travel long distances both to home and away games. Anyone who did the recent Preston/ Wigan/...
