Match Thread Sheff Utd (H) 12/03/22

I've not read the previous 26 pages, so apologies if I'm repeating statements by others. My take on todays game: Moore - solid in the air. Dabo - showed Kane how to play as a wing back. Played much further up the pitch and had a great game. JCS - Class! Hamer & Allen - were too quick for Sheff...

JCS contract position following the sanctions?

That's my understanding of the situation and there will be quite a few other Chelsea players in the same situation

    Notes from Supporters Forum

Thanks for your notes on the meeting. One thing that I've taken from this is.....despite having 11,555 season ticket holders and gates higher than projected. The club will still make a loss.

    Dear Boris

The issue of pay is correct, as we seem to be getting more MP's who's never had a successful career before getting elected. Hence, the numbers of "political studies" or "classics" graduates initially getting jobs as researchers or special advisors to MP's before seeking a constancy for election...

    Summer recruitment

I think Chelsea could be in real trouble, as they have over a lot of players out on loan. They receive a fee for them, plus a significant contribution to their wages. If they can't loan them out then they'll be sat at their training ground and they will be picking up 100% of their wages. Hence...

    DILEMMA...

B.......for if the Sky Blues do make it back to the PL and the CBS is a radio active mess.....we could end up playing back in Northampton

    Summer recruitment

I'll be interested to see if this blockage on new contracts will also apply to loans? If it does, it'll further undermine the Chelsea business model, as they earn significant sums from players being loaned.

    Next year Season tickets

I was expecting a bigger increase in the ST price, so well done to the club. I only hope it encourages people to renew and entice others to join the 11,555. MR & the coaching staff deserve our backing. I'm renewing for block 19.

    Hamer New Deal

Brilliant news. Well done to the club & ensures he isn’t sold below market value.

    Dear Boris

During Boris Johnson's time as Mayor of London, I worked on some projects with him and found him to be: 1. Lazy - he could never be bothered to read briefing notes. 2. Lacking concentration in meetings. 3. Not particularly intelligent. 4. Couldn't cope with detail. 4. Not a collaborative...

The game has gone. Don't risk Godden now.

    Dear Boris

I'm just hoping that the government seize Abramovich;s assets.....so, putting Chelsea under government control. That should ensure they'll be playing in L2 in a few years.!

    Derby points deduction

I've heard that the highest bidder is Mike Ashley, who's only offering 15p in the £1 to non protected creditors. The EFL want a minimum of 25p in the £1. The other bidders for the club do not offer enough money. A 15 point deduction for next season beckons.

    Waghorn

From the first game of the season he was slow. A striker who’s over the top. He looks as if he’s spent too much time in the weights room doing high reps

    Refereeing

The referee was the worst this season. He was weak and allowed Preston to assault O’Hare all match.

Dear SISU, I will have to ask all the Russian donors to the Conservative party if that’s okay. Cheers Boris .... written by Carrie

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

I'm not so sure. I would guess that they'll take the PL money to realise a return for their investors, which will include some eye watering interest rate returns and try to sell. That way they'll realise their profits and sell at the top of the business cycle. However, would there be a buyer?

    Ryton

I think you grossly underestimate Robins. He's identifying elements he needs to extract more "marginal gains" including technical, tactical and political elements.
