If Gus was sold to Brighton for say....£15m, then by this time next year Chelsea will be buying him for £70m. Best make sure we've got a significant sell on deal. ;)

The figures thrown about for transfer fees can be very misleading when a player exchange is included in the deal. For instance if McNally was offered as part of a deal, I would expect Burnley to value him at £4m+, which imo is ridiculous. If Fulham just offered cash, then it would be...

You're back again ....... we didn't miss you. Was you absence on here connected to your multi million pound team performing, so badly that you got relegated? Must have been galling seeing Notts Forest, Sheff United and Bournemouth out perform your lot.

If the player doesn't want to be transferred to another club and would rather run his contract down, knowing that from January he'll be free to negotiate his next move. Then the club can't do anything. In Hamers case, is he looking to move back to the Netherlands? Ajax or Feyenoord are very...

There’s basically two ways to make money owning a championship club. 1. Get promoted to the PL and then sell. 2. Find some person with more money than sense to sell too.

If we can assume that Vik is going. Then it's now down to timing of the deal, along with the fee. There needs to be a risk assessment of holding out for an extra "x" £'s and missing out on the players that MR really wants. Additionally, integrating the new players into the squad is vital for...

The big issue with that deal is that: 1. The scheduling of fee payments. If it's over 5 years that is £2m now. 2. The players coming as a part exchange will cost the club the increased wages from day 1, plus any signing on fees to agents, etc. Hence the club will be on the wrong end of front...

I’m not sure ….. last season we had a raft of double barrelled surnamed players….when are we going to sign triple barrelled surnamed players…. That would be an upgrade 😂

Agree - if we expect to replace Vik with another CF of a similar level, then we're being extremely optimistic. However, I'm very hopeful that with the quality of our coaching staff that any players who are recruited will improve during their time here. The coaching staff may adjust some...

I can understand Vik thinking that Sporting will provide him with an opportunity to play European football and potentially, the chance for a move to one of the "big" clubs in a year or two if he's been successful. However, given the standard of the Swedish national team at the moment, I'm not...

Something for Vik to consider is that he's one ACL injury away from being unemployed. As it would be very difficult for a new club to offer him a good level contract when he's on a 9 month rehab period. He needs a new contract either here or elsewhere to insure himself against that.

I probably didn't word that well. What I meant was: * Given the club is supposedly "debt free"....the club would now make an operating loss each year and DK would fund the interest payments on those loses. Hence, the club will start to be in debt, albeit not to the anyway near the level SISU...

I thought DK came across pretty well and gave his reasoning for the changes in the corporate box prices. My main "take" from the discussion was: 1. DK is funding the infrastructure - which my guess is circa 2-3 million. 2. DK will service the interest on operating loses in the next few years...
