More one for the summer, but I read that Callum Wilson is going to leave Newcastle on a free at 32 might now be the time to return to his hometown club if a couple of our current forwards left.
I saw the press conference and was suprised how much he was praising Ben. I get he is a big personality and helpful person from a morale perspective, however, based on his proven goalkeeping inability, is not the answer.
It's very much not season over as this league changes very fast with 3 wins in a row. Sadly the issue seems to be we can't win 2 games in a row let alone 3!
Great pricing from Doug for a change. Hope the team are rewarded with a bumper crowd and atmosphere. I suspect Sheffield Wednesday will sell their allocation and hope we get close to doing so also.
Some posts on this thread are quite a way off the mark. Sheaf while not playing his best in the last few games is a top quility player in this division. Think he will improve as the season goes on as well.
I am surprised that the Moneyball stats pro who identified the players is still so highly regarded by DK! He was shoulder to shoulder with him at the fans forum to explain the MR sacking using words like 'deck of players' mimicking the way Austin talked
So we can play with 10 players more. This is not 1990 and you can't get away with uncontrolled aggression! We need players who are mentally brave, can lose the ball trying to beat a player but try the same thing 5 mins later.
Given the lack of 'new manager bounce' and articles like this, if we don't get a decent points return from the next 6 fixtures I can see Lampard coming under real pressure. His recent record including his time at Chelsea (2nd spell) is abject.
With regards to the OP I genuinely don't think we...
Does this not highlight the limitations of data. Our defence have been conceding nearly 2 goals a game on average and our CB at the heart of the mess has decent stats! Unless it's all been Binks fault but he has a rating of 6.71 which is similar.
So they are priced about right now but are empty?
Doug would do well next season to apply the principal's of supply and demand and at least make the boxes furthest away from the half way line cheaper so they at least have a chance of selling.
Agree with this but there is an argument to say that at 0-0 West Brom will be attacking, commuting players and leaving space in behind. That same space will not be there if we are 1 or 2 nil down as they will drop deep.
Can really drop EMC so u would go with.
