Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Grimes is a better defensive minded ' quarterback' who doesn't give the ball away or get caught in possession as much as Sheaf. Torp is a better creative midfielder looking to pick forward passes. So where doe Sheaf fit in? He slows us down and when Grimes is playing he's effectively a...

    The Holiday 2025 thread

Just take the towels off the sunbeds and use it. Chances are the people aren't going to say anything and if they do who are they going to complain to?

Match Thread Coventry City v St Pauli (Friendly) - Sat 2 Aug 3:30 PM

I agree. he forward play is so one dimensional. teams will quickly work out we only want to play down the wings and will set up to prevent that. We need to show a willingness for the wingers to come inside and shoot and the midfield to try and play a striker in through the middle. Otherwise...

With Grimes it's that he sits far too deep and half the time may as well be classed as a CB. He needs to be 10-15 yards up the pitch and playing the ball forward more to really be dictating play. Not saying it's stats padding as he clearly has the ability to play passes and work in tight areas...

    Championship thread 25/26!

Probably only way they could get an agreement and think if they get promoted it's totally irrelevant and will be able to sell him on. Plus the owner seems to be a deluded narcissist who can just throw endless money at it. I would really love for it to go horribly wrong for Birmingham because...

    Our strikers……

Especially as our game plan seems to be for the wide forwards to stay wide and put crosses in the box. If they were encouraged to come inside and shoot more often I'd expect a bigger goal return. As it is I'd hope for them to have a decent number of assists (though that also relies on a striker...

So what is Eccles injury? Doesn't actually say in the article.

    New stadium

Haven't we literally just paid for the turnstiles? And I'm pretty sure we paid for the pitch re-lay too.

    King or Bling

How many people could you name not on the playing side? But for an option I'd say the scouting team that picked up Gyokeres and Hamer for under £3m.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

I think all of our strikers work better being played through on the ground but the tactics FL plays seems intent on getting the ball wide and then getting crosses in. But none of our strikers ever look close to getting on the end of them. Only time our strikers looked even half decent was when...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

So if we miss out on promotion because some team cheats and wins a penalty I guess that's fine - to win you've got to do what needs to be done. Also where was that attitude when you were complaining about the (untrue) claims the Dem's had cheated to win the election?

Nope. Asking you if you're a fanboy of a cheat.

    Cov Rugby 2024 - 2025

Because football (at the top level) is absolutely awash with cash and that makes greedy fuckers deludedly believe they can achieve the same success with other sports. Others are going down the US franchise route because it's basically a licence to print money for owners of the major sports.

    New stadium

But that growth is very uncertain. One bad season, crowds drop off and it becomes untenable. I wonder if there could be an element of the rent linked to attendance in a new contract?

Doug , could you help with the PA system

Wasn't it replaced last season? But agree it was awful and couldn't understand a word.

    Betis Player Ratings

Rushworth 7 - some good saves, controlled his area well and goal would have been difficult to stop. MvE 6 Kitching 6 Thomas 6 Bidwell 6 Grimes 6.5 - usual Grimes but could he please play 10 yards further up the pitch. Or at least ahead of the CB's. Sheaf 5 - some sloppy passing and got caught in...

But the club could add in penalties to the contract for such problems occurring, or even threaten to change supplier if they don't improve.
