Donald Trump has been extraordinarily successful and he has many qualities that have helped him with that. I just don’t think that intelligence (as defined by IQ) is one of them.
It’s one of the oldest fallacies there is to assume that wealthy and/or powerful people achieved all their wealth and power because of intelligence or skill.
I suppose I mean this suggestion that immigration can essentially be reduced to a game of sorts, where less immigration = “we’re in front ” and more immigration presumably = “we’re behind”
As someone else said, I applaud you just being honest in admitting you don’t want ANY immigrants here (the use of “we’re in front” in your post is an eye-opener). But surely you’re in dreamland if you think the country will somehow save money by enforcing a system that keeps all immigrants...
Whether or not it comes off or whether it offers value for money if it does, I’m at least happy that Lampard has identified it’s the back line and not the forwards that are most in need of big investment.
With Bellamy’s fee, I think Sky are going off what Transfermarkt says, which obviously isn’t always a good idea. The club itself has confirmed that Haji Wright is the record signing.
There have been an alarming number of accidents and near-misses involving nuclear weapons, most of them for very mundane reasons. The US accidentally dropped four nuclear bombs on Francoist Spain in the 60s, for example.
I feel like there’s only so bad a signing you can be if you ultimately generate a profit for the club. Not sure the same will be true for any of the other three.
