I have my usual Cov low expectations. The main positive so far is having a decent keeper (hopefully!) that's got to help a lot. If we could bring in a strong, aggressive proper striker I'd be much more positive. For now play BTA and at least get some mobility up front.

MVE is no doubt good at this level but is quite flawed defensive. Quite often loses his man or switches off. It's cost us some important goals. Hopefully our full backs can be tighter defensively. Including JDS who is still a worry.

Having been optimistic about Bassette, after what we've seen I'm not sure he has got what it takes to develop into a decent striker. He isn't keen to get in the box, can't really beat a player, doesn't shoot well. His movement is ok, pace decent but that isn't enough imo.

Bassette doesn't actually get in the box much or attack the goal. So not for me.

We can't continue with 2 hit or miss lethargic forwards. It would make a huge difference to get a centre forward with aggression who actually likes getting in the box, making a nuisance of himself, rattling defenders, who is desperate to score goals. Simms needs to go.

Add broadband and telephone, mobile connectivity. They're just utilities. Having them privatised with duplicated sales, marketing, customer service, tech teams etc just adds huge cost, as well as prioritising shareholders.

Strange in his interview after the hat trick that Wright said he was disappointed there was an international break. He wanted to just keep on playing. He didn't sound like he had any injury concerns at all.

As to Haji. He's a big bloke which has a cost in athleticism and engine, so he gets knackered quickly. Sadly he doesnt use the positives of being a 'big bloke', weak in the air, easy to push off the ball, can't hold up and lay off a ball. He seems quite introverted and inwardly negative which...

Simms is weak in the air, doesn't attack space in the box, can't shoot well, has poor control, can't hold up the ball and lay it off. If all he has on his wages is 'occupying defenders' it isn't anywhere near enough!

We need a fresh start upfront. Just too much hard work trying to get something consistent out of Simms or Wright. Offload both and get some aggression and tenacity upfront it will make a huge difference.
