    General Election 2019 thread

Well it is obviously useless talking with you. I provided you with a link to a Labour supporting news site that proudly proclaims "Everything Labour" which HAS said it is policy & no more on it suggesting it is a non-starter. If this were the Tories making some rash but more easily transparent...

I haven't moved the goalposts at all. I backed you up in a way by clarifying it is not a part of the manifesto...and pointing out it IS actual Labour policy for now at least. You obviously have a problem with the truth just like Bojo. As for the "then it won't happen" - it seems it is that you...

I don't find it unacceptable...just unaffordable & unachievable except for a few specific jobs Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

But you wouldn't vote for a party that stated a policy which was wholly unacceptable to you just because it wasn't in their manifesto either would you? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

The UK is more than London. There is much wrong with prices & pricing. Also, a lot wrong with routes. Almost everywhere you want to get to southward goes through London or there are a tedious number of changes, &/or far higher prices. That just adds to overcrowding on trains. Sent from my...

Or the years of nationalised railway left an underfunded/inefficient & ancient network that was desperately in need of investment. Privatisation permitted the investment, & upgrading to be carried put more rapidly & efficiently. Either way - someone has to pay for it. So rather than shouting it...

Can't see this one working either...genuinely aspirational? Misguided promises? Or out & out lie??? Labour pledges to cut rail fares by a third Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Not in the manifesto perhaps, but it IS Labour's stated policy over the next 10yrs. It has been criticised by some withing the party, but not retracted! Four-day working week becomes Labour policy - LabourList Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

But the Germans are the British are they? Whether we are talking about the existing board members, average worker or workers representatives. They all have different education, background & preconceived ideas about what is best based upon at least both of those. Sent from my SM-G935F using...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I agree with a lot of what you say...though I think the impact on people bit is not really accurate. She came from pretty humble beginnings - & I don't think that experiences from that ever get left or ignored. Hence, I think she took tough decisions based on advice given on likely outcomes...

Why do you think I think that they are unable??? And why do they have to sit on the board to participate in the debate? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Or did she have a party that identified area that needed tough decisions to be made...& then made them? Quite the opposite - if Labour get an overall (or free-for-all) majority...can you imagine the single policy of 1/3 board members being the workforce? Before long the boardroom would be a...

Do I like him??? He's certainly some of the things you list there. Not all but you have to look beyond the headlines rather than being so quick to judge...like abandoning his kids. Was it him abandoning them? Or was it an unhealthy relationship with his partner for his kids to be party to...

Even by your standards...one of the stupidest things you ever posted. Probably as offensive &/or insensitive as Bojo is accused of being too if someone has lost a leg or both fighting for their country in Iraq or Afghanistan perhaps...while you have been sat fighting pettily behind your...
