Genuinely shocking if the reason why some SBT members have been so gutless it's because they naively thought they would be rewarded by having a seat in the boardroom if/when this Hoffman takeover ever happens. Incredibly self serving and really, really dumb. It reminds me of these Leicester City...

Are they really there to represent city supporters? It seems they are merely there to represent themselves.

W What about Burnley? They seem to be going really well.

    Match Thread Liverpool U23 Game - Weds - 7PM

A few years ago Conor Thomas would have been playing in this sort of game as either a Liverpool Under 23 player or in the Coventry City first team. It shows why a fully strength CCFC is around the same level as Liverpool's Under-23 team and why these friendlies make sense. I think £10 is a fair...

Yes, but talking about John Aloisi and our days in the Premier League is far more enjoyable then talking about a Irish under-19 player I have never seen play or even heard of..........and you can't beat a good bit of nostalgia.

So 17 goals in half a season in the second tier of English football. In pro-rata terms that would make him a 30 goal a season striker.

Yeah, Eoin Jess really was a disappointment.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge on the SBT, but is this the same organisation Moz Baker was (or still is) a spokesman for?

If public condemnation is issued to Wasps from the SBT it should be because that is the choice of the SBT and it's members. As a non-member I don't feel I have a right to tell them who they should or shouldn't condem. However as a supporter of Coventry City FC I would have more respect for the...

Again I may have got my facts wrong, but didn't he also score a shed load of goals at Portsmouth the year before we signed him and also looked good playing for Australia in the World Cup? A old school centre-forward who liked an aerial duel with defenders. Ironically we could do with a player...

Fair play Grendel. I think the SBT need to make some sort statement on Wasps. I get they are very anti-SISU, but are they prepared to make a stand against those rugby players from High Wycombe?

As soon as I posted that I suddenly started thinking I had probably got my seasons wrong, was it John Hartson then? I seem to remember Aloisi was used more of a squad player then a regular starter, but always looked like he had potential. Who was getting picked ahead of him?

John Aloisi was a good player and very underrated, I think he was just unfortunate to be at Coventry City the same time as Dion Dublin and was therefore often left on the bench.

First Impressions Of The New Players

Also judging by his stats, he seems to be one of these players who is able to stay fit and healthy for a whole season. I think he played 50 games for Burton last season. I do realise I may have jinxed him getting a ACL in his next game now I have said that! Sorry.

What a idiot. If Chaplin was thinking about going to Barnsley, then reading that will help make up his mind.

I remember a fan ringing up CWR once and said he believed writing negative things about players or booing them actually improves them as the players will try harder.

First Impressions Of The New Players

Gervane Kastaneer is built like a light-heavyweight boxer. Wesley Jobello, Kyle McFadzean and Michael Rose are all well over 6FT. The only surprise was how small Jamie Allen looked, but he was like a little magician out there, so I'm not too bothered about his lack of size.

Rather then rate the new players out of 10 which seems slightly unfair on only 45 minutes of pre-season action against a non-league team, I thought this thread could just give your first impressions on the new players after the first pre-season friendly at Leamington. GERVANE KASTANEER: I was...
