    Carl Dickinson

He's a nutjob alright. Wasn't that long ago he was doing a good job in the top flight, and can play wide-left too. Never mind stop-gap cover for Adams, he's better than Adams! Great signing. Just need a manager now...

    Robins gone

    Darn beat me to it!
  3. Nonleagueherewecome

    Robins gone

Maybe he'd just sparked up a big fat one?

    Robins gone

When asked about the arena rent dispute recently, he said "it will be sorted". Well, it hasn't...might have played a part in his decision?

    Here We Go Again...The Candidates

I'll take Peter Jackson as long as it's the LOTR one, not the Lincoln one :claping hands:

    Robins gone

If this is true...what a dirty Judas! Best manager in 10 years gone after six months, great. Here's hoping it doesn't take another 10 years to find one as good! Roll on Summer, I'm totally sick of this depressing season now.

    Night of Long Knives*

People don't want Elliott selecting ahead of Clarke just because he "works his socks off": they want him as he looks a faster, more intelligent, more skillful and simply all-round better player in every way. Leon might have scored some goals when playing abysmally, but Elliott has contributed...

    Night of Long Knives*

http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/night_of_the_long_knives.htm Best avoid that or we might be short of players!

Pretty accurate take on the Yeovil game

Inaccurate, too-it was Jordan not Leon who carved open the chance for Elliott!

McDonald vs Clarke Mismatch of the Century

Also-look at Clarke's record: he scores goals when he's at clubs in the bottom 6 of the division. He's suited to playing on the counter, not to a team expected to dominate-thus facing opposition with men behind the ball sitting deep. Like Crewe and Yeovil ;)

McDonald vs Clarke Mismatch of the Century

He was pretty quick for yesterdays goal! Clarke wouldn't have reached that-we've played 5-6 through balls on the deck for him to run onto in the past 2 games and he's been outpaced by lumbering CB's every time. But Clarke has a better record at this level and in theory more physical presence...

    Jordan or Cyrus?

I think Clarke is every bit as good going forwards. Our best form last season was largely revolving around the game plan of Norwoods long diagonal balls out to Clarke on the right. Quite a few goals came from that move-and at a higher level than L1. Yesterday his inter-play on the left set up...

    Elliott

None taken ;) I've generally spending more time with cricket and less with football. Less depressing, more interesting. But I still go to all the home games, just don't really have much of an urge to express an opinion! Today I was so impressed with Elliott and Jordan that I had to say so. And...

    Elliott

I actually stopped posting on here when things weren't going well for the team! And I come to praise Clarke more than criticise Christie, but given a choice, it's a no-brainer, as the post above me neatly sums up. I thought Elliott and Jordan were our best players today (along with Murphy)...
  15. Nonleagueherewecome

    Elliott

His crossing has been absolutely abysmal and he is one of our worst culprits of the blind hoof upfield-which almost invariably results in lost possession. And he can't defend.
  16. Nonleagueherewecome

    Elliott

I thought Jordan was brilliant when he came on too, deserves to start ahead of Christie if Adams is fit.

    Callum Wilson

If you mean John Clarke rather than Jordan, I think you'll find that's waistband, not height! On Wilson-some decent flashes of talent in the last few pre-seasons, but I fear he's one of those lads with pace who get fans excited but who will end up as a decent non-league player. We CCFC...

    Sky Blues snap up striker

Danny Philliskirk-"not good enough for Sheff U (IN L1) or Oxford Utd (IN L2). We're not in The Championship, we're in L1, so of course players not up to Championship standard can do a job for us. But signing a player who couldn't get a game in L1 or L2? That's why people feel underwhelmed.

All this rent debate, have we forgotten where it all began?

No matter what Richardson is to blame for-and I agree it is a lot-he wasn't to my knowledge holding a gun to SISU's head when they signed off the deal to buy CCFC. He has nothing to do with them choosing not to try and renegotiate the rent when buying us. They didn't care about the level of rent...

    Chris Hussey - LM Sensation?

YOU don't judge on performances, you judge on crappy sad little forum rumours. Hussey looked OK to me in the home games-as good as Reckord. I didn't see him away where he got more stick. As for Henderson-disappeared without trace? Maybe Robins agrees with me that he's shite?!
