Simms’ goal was exactly what you want from a potential 25+ goal a season striker. Perfect set up, great off the ball movement to peel away from the marker, and a calm collected finish. Keep supplying him with those chances and he’ll score an absolute tonne this season.

I’m not reading anything in to opening day results. I remember the season Norwich lost 7-1 to Colchester on opening day and ended up pissing league one that season. Rooney will be the first (and most predictable) sacking of the championship season though.
