The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Soft Brexit wouldn’t be a compromise in that situation but pushing for reform from within would be and I’d imagine that’s what sensible Brexiters would have asked for in the situation. Don’t forget Farage wanted another referendum for 48/52. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Specifically what aspect of the deal will they improve and what, if anything, will they compromise on? Not saying it’s impossible but it’s unlikely and I’m yet to hear anyone say how they’d like to improve it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interestingly, so I am. Their verdict was it would cause huge expense and make the company unviable. My worry (again based on where I work) is that companies are scared to public say what they think the consequences of no deal would be like as it’s labelled as scare mongering and they also...

They could have done that if they hadn’t started the article 50 process so soon. How prepared for no deal do you think business is and what are you basing it on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quite possibly how it will play out but the fallout from no deal will surely then destroy the Tories. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The problem is in the time trading on WTO many business would go bust, relocate or at the very least completely restructure their supply chains. They then might need to do the same once a deal is reached. WTO just isn’t a practical option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All correct, there was no detail on the ballot paper. However, you have to read into what they campaigned for to get the detail which was all great deals, Norway options, customs unions and all sorts. Now all those options have been cast aside as not pure Brexit. It’s absurd. Oddly, JRM had it...

In fairness though the government have tried their best to honour the result but the Brexiters have moved the goal posts to no deal. If they don’t want what they campaigned for then that’s their issue. We would have left if ERG didn’t vote down Mays deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It will take big balls to revoke it and big balls to let us leave without a deal. Either option will end the leader who makes the choice and quite possibly their party. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes because we negotiated an extension. Leaving is still the legal position though. In fact we would have left already if only the ERG had voted for the withdrawal agreement. Yes we were told we would leave but the issue there is politicians making claims they can’t back up. Sent from my...
