Very sad news, condolences to his family. RIP DavieBow87

    Ched Evans

Even if he is innocent , I wouldn't want him here. Too much 'baggage'. Imagine the reception from opposition fans for probably months on end and the unsettling effect this might have on the team? So no thank you.

    Attendance: 5 Games In!

You mean it isn't on your wedding list????

    RCC How did he do?

Yes agree with this. Also the defence as a whole looked very composed and I'm not sure Shrewsbury would have scored if we had played for another 90 mins. Only judging after one game but would like to see RCC have an extended run in the team as I feel he is the better all-round keeper.

    Turned down penalties

Lino definitely flagged for the pen and the ref then gave it. Whilst the officials were generally poor, I thought they were ten times better than the buffoons we had at Bury.

As you've mentioned steins and the small schnapps glasses, do you remember the schooner sherry glass, favoured by Berni Inns and others back in the day? Dining in one of their establishments many years ago, I asked the good lady what she wanted to drink. As she wasn't thirsty and couldn't make...

What a great pity that you are not serious Simon. A pipe dream I know, but here's hoping that Cov Rugger can get their act together on the pitch and achieve promotion to the Premiership. Now that would be interesting.

If you are serious, can you please make a start by removing the 'Wasps RFC' section on your web homepage and replacing it with 'Coventry RFC', a team that has been playing in this City since 1874??

Out of the top 6 as it stands

If there is no stand out team in L1 this season - and so far there doesn't appear to be, then surely there are 2 automatic places up for grabs rather than just 1? As we're currently in 7th having played a game less than most others and showing some patchy form over the last 5 games or so, a...

    Best Record Ever Made ?

An almost impossible selection, but Northern Lights by Renaissance has a certain appeal. Or maybe that was just Annie Haslam??

    Leon Clarke reception on Saturday

Hmm...getting deja vu here with the run up to the Scunthorpe game :thinking about: As for Leon Clarke, I remember his body language at Deepdale in the draw with PNE a couple of weeks before he left us. Just as he ignored his team mates and fans that day, I will try and ignore him on Saturday.

    Eat well for less

If you are regularly dining on quail's eggs, foie gras and lobster thermidor then yes, I suppose it's possible to spend £300 a week on food shopping. A little bit of good husbandry needed with the housekeeping money in these austere times perhaps?

    Philosophical qustions

Probably age-related Wingy, although the time to worry is when the rose on a watering can approach becomes the 9 times out of 10.

    Bury Away

Nothing like good old customer service then?? I've ever had reason to ring it fortunately, but it is the number the Club quote in the covering letter that came with the tickets. Maybe need TM to run the ticket office as well then?

    Sky Blue Legend Tommy Htchinson

Yes totally agree, another wise old head who also chipped in with a few goals too. I would also agree with Torch that the excitement and attacking football was spread throughout the season and some large crowds watching as well. Most will remember the 5-4 against Norwich, a 5-1 against Chelsea...

    Sky Blue Legend Tommy Htchinson

And from the same era, a player (and captain) who doesn't get many mentions but who, undoubtedly, was the driving force behind that great season in 1977-78 - Terry Yorath. Very often only paired with Barry Powell in midfield, with Hutch on the wing and Milne very often going with a 424 line up...

Ordered 2 tickets online Bury last Friday and they arrived in the post on Monday. Maybe give the Club a ring if you have been waiting over a week - 02476 992326.

Yet another great signing. From relegation possibilities to second place in what, 8 games? Well done TM and all your backroom staff for helping to create all the positive news surrounding CCFC at present. Saturday can't come soon enough.
