    Administration Meeting 2/8/13 Official Thread

No chance. ACL/ Council will never sell to SISU. I think the only way that ACL will sign the CVA is under the hope (which many fans have expressed) that it will bring all the assets into one company and SISU sell it to Byng or Haskell. But unless SISU sign up to a 10 year lease at the Ricoh...

    Administration Meeting 2/8/13 Official Thread

I'm with you on this one. Not sure of the finer details but there will definitely be capes and zip wires, I'm sure. Oh no, I think delirium is starting to set in....

On balance, I still want this to fall through...

No body knows, their accounts are never filed on time and are inaccurate by their own admission. I think the point is that their outgoings will reduce and (by playing at the Ricoh rather than Northampton) their income will increase. I think they will use that to the benefit of SISU rather than...

On balance, I still want this to fall through...

A bit harsh, but I take your point. I can't see any of the outcomes as helping the actual football team in the short term. I may be wrong but I think we would get back on the road to recovery if we got SISU out faster and rejecting the deal may do that. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I wish I could get to that point too, but I'm feeling a bit like Citizen Smith at the moment - down with the corporate bastards!!

On balance, I still want this to fall through...

Most of what I've learned is through the media or through this website - so most of it is probably utter bollocks. BUT, on balance, I think I'd rather the deal was not accepted by SISU. Why? Because I do not trust them one bit. If the deal was agreed and SISU had a lower rent and access to...

    appleton fires back

I'm not sure if that's correct or not, but Otium has exactly the same address as SISU and Tim Fisher is one of its directors. If SISU and/or TF are proven to have misled/ deceived or at worst performed a criminal act, then surely that would mean the FL would not release the golden share to...

    appleton fires back

Well, Mr Appleton, I think we're all confused how you can propose a sale while at the same time continue with your investigations. What if those investigations show that SISU and all its companies have been committing fraud? Wouldn't that in turn mean Otium are not the preferred bidders after...

Ainsworth tells Appleton be prepared to surrender position

Politicians are usually self serving but for once I am delighted with the efforts of a couple of our local MP's are making (particularly Bob) with getting to the heart of this disgraceful situation. All too often people in power (big companies, governing bodies etc) get away with brushing the...

    Acl back on cwr again

Not blackmail, but a 'negotiation' stance. Although there is a fine line between them. I want to believe that Joy has shown her hand in these negotiations and revealed how important the CVA is to them - if that is the case I would urge ACL not to sign it. However, every time we think SISU are...

ACL on CWR after 9am this morning

We've been pretty sure for some time that the FL realised they completely messed up with the issue of the golden share and player registrations being in different companies, and the legal threat by SISU is probably around this. But the FL should own up to the mistake and rectify it rather...

Let them stay! Ricoh owners hold last-ditch talks with Football League

Well said OSB58. Some very delusional people on here with more time than sense. I can't claim to understand half of what is going on but I'm just pleased that we have fans like OSB8 who can help explain it in fairly simple terms. Helps people like me write better informed emails to FL, MPs...

On the front of the Football League HQ

Have we now fallen in love with The Ricoh?

I always thought the Ricoh was a great stadium and the lack of atmosphere was down to having nothing to cheer about, rather than because of the stadium itself. Is it too big for us? Well, it is now. But would it be too big for us if we were in the Premiership? No. Sure, we wouldn't fill it...

Ricoh Arena to sue Northampton Town FC

Great twist! I'm no lawyer but it surprises me if they have any right to sue (the club they had an agreement with is in administration so I thought the deal was broken) but if this is true, it may be a good tactic to scare NTFC away - and with what the police have said and fans pressure etc...

    And Keys says.........

It was. He spoke to TF and it was after TF said 'no' that Hoffman made it public. I bet if TF had said yes we would not have heard about it until the details were agreed. By making this offer public, Hoffman is basically putting the pressure on because now the Football League (hopefully) will...

Confirmation SISU did originally want the Prem

I think there is something else being missed here - what SISU say and what SISU do are two TOTALLY different things. Of course they are going to talk about investment and plans for the Premiership when they are hoping to buy the club - the sale wouldn't happen if they said 'we are going to...

    Reply from football league

What I don't understand is their statement saying that the Administrator has sold the assets to Otium - I thought that was still subject to the CVA and hence the sale has not actually concluded. Am I wrong? If the sale has not happened, why are the Football League agreeing to anything that...

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Well done Hoffman, you have called SISU's bluff and they have been forced to show their true colours. Even the Football League cannot be blind to this - surely??? This is a very clever tactic. I know SISU seem to have played a blinder and every time we think they are on their way out the...
